The Ultimate Father’s Day Gift Guide
This is the ultimate Father’s Day gift guide, curated by my dad! We’ve been working together to pick and try out different gift ideas that would make any dad happy. Our first post is already live and it’s a ‘Father’s Day Fashion Gift Guide‘, this one has everything you could think of and more! From gadgets, to grooming, and even quirky gifts too.
Shaving Gifts

It goes without saying that a new razor is a great gift for any dad! My dad tried out three normal razors and then a very special one from Braun, here’s what he thought…
Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 Sense -£12.00
The Wilkinson Sword has a built-in shock absorber that means you can get an incredibly close shave comfortably, as the razor can tell when more pressure is applied. My dad said, ‘it gave me one of the closest shaves ever, the blade was gliding across my face thanks to the hydrating gel pools on the razor, and there was less drag than other razors I’ve used. It was easy to handle, comfortable to hold, and I found the close shave design (where you flick it back) is really clever. This is my favourite out of the three.’

Gillette Chrome Razor – £14.99
This new Gillete Fusion5 ProGlide is exclusive to Boots.
‘I found the handle to be thicker on this blade, which was great with the flexball as it moves around the contour of your face. There’s a blade on the back that is great for getting those tough areas, and overall I found that it’s easy to move around.’

BIC Shave Club

Braun Series 3 ProSkin 3040s Blue Shaver – £39.99
Obviously this doesn’t complete against the others at all. This is the luxury razor and if you’ve got the budget, then get your dad a Braun this year! My dad absolutely loves the Braun Series 3 Shave&Style.
‘I first tried using this when my face was dry as just a trimmer, and it worked fine but then I tried it on wet skin and I thought the results were fantastic. It gave me a really close shave and I even touched up my side burns with the precision trimmer. You can really do a lot with this razor and I can see my youngest son pinching this off me to style his beard too!’

Grooming

Dove Gift sets
Available at Asda, Tesco, Co-Op, and Morrisons.
‘You can’t go wrong with a Dove gift set, they always have the essentials and they don’t cost the earth. Plus you can pick them up at so many different places so you don’t have to go out of your way.’
Men’s Personalised Expandable Textured Canvas Wash Bag – £39.49
‘When dad’s go away for the weekend and things like that, this just gives that nice personal touch. It’s a great size so I can fit in everything I’ll need for a long holiday, I like how sturdy it is and stylish. In the past I’ve just used whatever wash bags come in gift sets and nothing has ever been really special or well-made, I’ve even had to use my wife’s wash bags, but no more, I have my own, with my name on it!’
You can customise these wash bags to have up to 10 characters in different fonts, it even has a zipped compartment too so they can keep anything important separate. The bag is made from canvas and PU leather.

Starwars Galactic Robe – £35
This is an officially licensed Star Wars robe at Argos.
‘I’ve been a sci-fi fan all of my life and Star Wars is one of my favourites. This robe is really lovely and comfortable, it only comes in one size making it quite roomy on me, but it does make it really warm at the same time. It even has a hood if I want to ignore my family or have a secret snooze.’
Gadgets

Burga iPhone 13 Tough Case – £29.95
Whenever I look for a protective phone case, I usually stumble upon those rough military-type ones or some flip cases that surely offer quite a bit of protection for my device, but the looks are just not it. So, finding one that has both style and protection is a real win in this situation, as I am a stylish man, so sticking to a basic case is not what I want to do! The cases have double-layer protection, and there is so much to choose from! I no longer need to worry about those unfortunate drops anymore.’
I agree with him 100%, as finding a stylish iPhone 13 phone case that can keep it safe is not easy, and Burga has over 120 designs to choose from, so if your dad is a stylish lad, you will easily find one for him, and possibly decide to grab one yourself, as I sure did!
Brainwavz S0 IEM Noise Isolating Earphones – £37.70
‘Songs sound so clear through these earphones, they are great quality and I would expect them to be a lot more expensive. They sit really comfortably and you can choose your shape of foam ear tips that suit you and feel best to you. I always love wearing earphones when I’m around the pool relaxing on holiday, or during plane journeys. The protective case is great, not only does it help you find them easily but you know they’re not going to get damaged.’
PNY Outdoor Charger – £35.99
Available from: Amazon and Wickes
‘Having an outdoor portable charger than can handle a rough day, water, and dust, is exactly what I need with being a plumber. Sometimes we’ll be on a job and not notice that our phones have died which isn’t great when we need to get in touch with people. This charges my iPhone around 4 times and has a great torch on it too which is surprisingly bright!’

Apple Watch Strap – £59 reduced from £79
Has your dad or man in your life already got an apple watch? Then why not make it even fancier by getting him an apple watch strap or two. This way he can match his outfits or have a fancier watch strap for going out.
GP Design Portable Battery – £24.98
‘I’ve found this is better to use around the house if someone else is using the charger. It’s quite weighty and only charges my phone just over one time. I wanted to feature this for the dads that travel a lot as this had be made to comply with the strict air travel rules.’
GP Design Penlight PP13 – £24.99
‘This is a really useful, sturdy and really small torch. I have this in my side pocket at work and I really like the cool touch sensitive dim feature, as the main setting is really bright! When I’m on a job sometimes big torches don’t help me get see in small, tight places so this is really great for that.’

Adonit Pro 3 Universal Stylus – £29.99
‘I’ve always wanted a pen for my iPad, it just feels right, and it stops all those dirty fingermarks on my screen too! This is really easy to use, comfortable to hold, and makes me look like I’m always doing something important, like playing on snooker.’
This would be great for any dads that use their iPad for work, that travel for business, or like my dad, they just want to feel fancy!
Dux iPad 2 Case – £44.95
‘I really do like this iPad case, it’s incredibly sturdy! I wanted one that flicked over and it’s really comfortable to hold. I recently bought myself an iPad and my main concern was of course, protecting it. This has passed the US Military drop spec test, and because I’m getting on (he means old) I do drop stuff, but with this I know my iPad will always be safe! I’m taking this on holiday with me and I’m not worried about it at all. It may seem pricey to some but I think it’s great value for money with how protected it will be, and it’s stylish too, and I like style.’
Tile Sport Bluetooth Tracker – £30.00
‘I didn’t really understand how these worked at first, but once it was explained I think that for the job that I’m in, with using different expensive power tools, this is a great idea for always knowing where your things are. When you’re busy you can easily leave something on a job, and if you’re moving around a lot, it’s hard to track it down, but with this you can go onto your phone, load your app up and ‘ding dong’ it’ll tell you where it is. I could see myself buying more of these to keep track of other expensive equipment, whether it’s through just being old and losing something, or something being stolen, I’d feel happier knowing I could track it.’
Car Accessory
Choosing car upgrades and accessories can be tricky, especially if you are not into cars yourself. What alternative will your car-enthusiast dad appreciate? Get him his own private number plate. Buying and registering is quick and easy, you can put your energy into thinking of a combination that suits him perfectly.
Food and Drink Gifts

Chocolate Fossil Collectors Box – £50.00
‘I can honestly say that I’ve never thought about getting fancy chocolates before but when I saw these from the The Edible Museum, they really impressed me! The detail on these fossil chocolates is really good, and I love how they’re displayed. It’s a really special gift and they have lots of options too. There’s different types of chocolate and it’s definitely some of the best chocolate I’ve ever tasted!’
Lily O’Brien’s Chocolate Ultimate Collection – £7
Not everyone can afford such luxury chocolates but you don’t need to splash out to get a really special box. Inside the Lily O’Brien’s Ultimate Collection box there’s everything from Sticky Toffee, Caramel Macchiato, Zesty Orange Chocolate, to Double Chocolate Truffle! There’s some unusual flavours but my dad loves chocolate and he isn’t fussy at all.
Thirst Aid Box Best of British Beer – £29.75
‘I think the design of this gift box is great, it’s ideal to take out to a friend’s or family’s house when having a BBQ! There’s a great selection of ales and it’s a good price too. There’s other gift sets to pick from at Best of British Beer but this one stood out to me the most.’

VonShef Cheese Board With Knives – £17.99
‘I like how you can open it up onto different tiers, the knives are great too! I like hard cheeses and the knives just glide through the cheese which made it a very enjoyable cheese night. I’m biassed about my presentation skills but I do take great pride and having a board like this makes anything look even better. It’s also easy to clean and it folds up quite small making it easy to store too.’

Quirky
U Studio Playing Cards – £7.00
‘We’ve always enjoyed playing cards as a family and I thought the design on these is really unusual, we’re all looking forward to playing with these on holiday!’

Practical
American Tourister Urban Groove Backpack
‘After my holiday is done I intend to start going to the gym again, which is why I thought this backpack would be perfect. It’s big enough to store everything I need, like my clothes, shoes, towel, and it’s pretty bright which means I can’t lose it!’
