Father’s Day Fashion Gift Guide

My dad is always doing things for other people and rarely ever spends any time or money on himself. We try to do pamper nights on him every couple of months, but they’re not exactly relaxing for him. Usually, he needs scrubbing down (he’s a very busy plumber), his eyebrows need plucking, and we use nose strips to clear his face, so he calls them torture nights instead. Last year we decided not to do Christmas but it was a serious mistake and we all hated it. So much so that we all promised to make every birthday and Mother’s / Father’s Day really special this year. I thought it’d be a fun and cute bonding idea to ask him to work with me on my Father’s Day content for the blog, which means he has been in my office every night for weeks, answering emails with me, and picking out exactly what products to feature and test out. It also means that he’s been the centre of attention, which is exactly how he prefers things!

Blacks

More often than not, my dad steals my brother’s clothes when he’s heading out. North Face is one of the brands that both my brother and my dad really like, and if it’s approved by my extremely picky brother, then it must be good! A North Face t shirt can cost anywhere from £20 – £35 each and they’re really good quality with lots of different styles. You can get plain tops with just the logo, or something with blocks like the one my dad is modelling here. North Face come up a little bigger than the other brands in this post as they’re all an XL but this one was definitely a little baggier than we expected.

Millets

Another brand that my brother recommended straight away was Berghaus. My dad and Alfie both seemed to know who this brand was and acknowledge the great choice my brother had made, which clearly means they’re good! My dad doesn’t often wear plain black things, he’s more likely seen in something really bright but I think it’s nice to have something plain every now and again! Smarter if anything? This Berghaus t shirt from Millets is just £25, it’s a slightly thicker material and an amazing fit on both my dad and brother (totally not snitching that my brother has worn it though!) Although you wouldn’t think Millets have really stylish going out pieces with them focus on the outdoors, they do stock some well-known brands for a dressier occasions. Making it a one-stop-shop and perfect for finding father’s day gifts.

Mainline Menswear

When you ever ask my brother what to buy for other people, one of the very top suggestions is CP Company. He’s constantly wearing the brand which means, so’s my dad! We both adored the colour of the CP Company Logo t shirt from Mainline Menswear at £90, and thought how amazing it’d look on our holiday in June. The bright colour looks amazing on him and he absolutely loves this t-shirt. Sure it’s a little more expensive but once you’ve tried a few CP Company pieces and learnt a bit more about them and why they’re so comfortable, then you’ll understand and justify the price!

I’m personally really impressed with Mainline Menswear, not only do they have really awesome deals and multi-packs, but they also cater up to a 5XL! We’ve been so surprised at just how many huge name brands actually cater for a 3XL (which is what Alfie is) and I actually ended up buying him some t-shirts for his birthday from here! We’ll definitely be shopping here again.

Vanacci Watch

My dad isn’t really a fan of those huge, chunky looking watches that are really bulky so when we saw this one from Vanacci, it really did tick all the boxes as a perfect Father’s Day gift. It’s so great to support a local, Yorkshire company, and I love the fact that these are handmade in Leeds. Vanacci doesn’t only make watches, they also make sunglasses, jewellery, and hacker-proof wallets which are seriously impressive. Throughout this post, my dad is wearing the Vanacci Carbon Edition Watch and it really is a piece of art. The design of the watches is Italian, and the engineering is Swiss bringing together the best of both to create this timeless style. It’s quite the opposite from those Breitling styled watches with big faces, instead, this is quite understated, sophisticated, and still very masculine.

Not only does it look incredibly stylish, but it’s also a very practical watch it too as it’s robust and water-resistant too. With a stainless steel case and body, and a carbon leather strap, this watch is going to remain to look immaculate for years to come. At £99 we both felt that this was a great price for the work, quality, and a really perfect present for Father’s Day.

Be sure to look out for our other Father’s Day posts coming up very soon!
