If you know me, you’ll know that I’m mega friendly, so the idea of a group holiday didn’t worry me at all. I didn’t really think much of meeting other people, but I was really surprised by how much I ended up liking the people we travelled with!

What does Group Care or Group Support mean on a Limitless Travel holiday?

Group Support is included as standard on all Limitless Travel holidays. It’s one of the main things that makes travelling with them so different from just booking a trip on your own.

It basically means there’s always someone there to lend a hand when you need one. That might be helping with your luggage when you arrive, unpacking or repacking it in your cabin or hotel room, or even bringing your food over to your table in a buffet where you’d normally have to carry your own plate.

It can also mean help with mobility aids, like positioning your chair or scooter if you don’t like parking it yourself, or even driving it on and off coaches or transport for you.

You’ll also get support checking in, getting off the ship, navigating excursions, or understanding the cruise’s online booking systems. Group care doesn’t mean 1-to-1 support, but it does mean you’re never left to figure things out alone. And if you do need 1-to-1 support, there are other care packages available too! 

It’s perfect if you don’t need physical care, but you’d like that little bit of backup to make the holiday smoother and easier, especially in unfamiliar places.

Do you ever feel like you need alone time on a group trip?

Definitely, everyone on our trip had their own downtime at some point, and there’s zero pressure to stick with the group. Everyone was really open from the start that they need a lot of sleep or a day off here and there, and honestly, being upfront made us all feel so much more comfortable. You can have dinner solo, relax in your cabin or go for a quiet drink before joining back in later.

What’s the biggest group Limitless has ever had?

On average, most trips are 20 people or less. Bigger trips naturally break into smaller groups, so you’re never stuck with a big crowd unless you want to be. 

Are dietary requirements catered for?

Yes, really well. Cruises are fantastic at supporting dietary needs, and Limitless Travel make it even easier. Debbie, our Senior Carer, is gluten intolerant and was handed menus every day in advance so meals could be safely prepared. Do Limitless Travel book activities for you?

Yes, every cruise includes at least one private accessible excursion. For us, it was a guided tour of Barcelona in a private bus. Other ports are flexible, sometimes the team know the best accessible spots if they’ve been before, other times you can go off and explore with their help.

At one stop, we wanted to do the hop-on-hop-off bus tour. Debbie manoeuvred another guest’s scooter onto the bus, Alfie folded my wheelchair down, and off we went. At another port, there was a horse and carriage option, and someone from Limitless Travel could have stayed back with our chairs so we could do it.
