Dermalogica is a seriously impressive brand that I’ve been so fortunate to get to know these past few years. I’ve tried out so much from the brand now that I thought it was time to do a post on my top 8 Dermalogica products and why they’re so special! Now the history of Dermalogica is that it was founded by a skin therapist and is known as being professional-grade skincare. All of their products are vegan, cruelty-free and even gluten-free!
My Top 8 Dermalogica Products
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant – £65.00
It’s a 10/10 product. It really truly is so beyond brilliant! I have really oily, spot-prone skin and some products just immediately break me out or don’t help my oiliness at all but whenever I use this my skin feels utterly amazing. It is soft enough to use daily, hence the name, and it does leave my skin feeling so smooth and oil-free. It is a lovely powder formula that you add water and exfoliator your skin with, of course, more water means less exfoliating so you can really get your perfect mix.
We’ve actually got two bottles in the bathroom of this because my partner loves it so much and has it next to the shower, and then I have mine lower down next to the bath. It’s one of those I actually wouldn’t be without now and you can feel and see the difference after the first use. It also now has a refillable pack which is absolutely amazing and you save £10 (as it’s £55) when you choose to refill rather than buy a new bottle.

Dermalogica Pre-Cleanse Cleansing Oil – £49.00
One of the best products for getting makeup off is this Pre-Cleanse Cleansing Oil, it’s simply unreal at breaking down even the most stubborn makeup. It cuts through my toughest products, my Halloween looks! Nothing is too tough for it to get through and easily remove. It’s just a cleansing oil that never ever disappoints, that you never need loads of to get your makeup off, it’s thorough but also it makes sure with its name that you know, this is just the first step and you need to wash your face again. I like that reminder that even when I think this has done it all, it’s the pre-cleanse before your cleanser.
I’ve never noticed it leave behind unwanted oil or upset my spotty skin either and I’ve been using it for years. Another absolute must-have product for me!
Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel – £39.00
Usually, when using the oily I do like to follow up with the cleansing gel from Dermalogica too, sure you could go ahead and use any type of gel cleanser but this one really does feel so lovely and leaves my skin feeling very balanced. Nothing too dry or too overly moisturised, just feels very clean and clear! Together these two will really get rid of all your makeup and this one could be used alone for a morning cleanser too!
If I was wanting to do a full routine whilst taking my makeup off then I’d use the oil, gel and then follow with the daily microfoliant, if I just wanted a morning routine then I’d use the gel or microfoliant.
Dermalogica Invisible Physical Defense Mineral Sunscreen SPF30 – £49.00
I used this product every single time I wore makeup, it is utter perfection for a makeup base, SPF, moisturiser, I just absolutely loved it. It’s an invisible and weightless formula that isn’t thick or leaves a white residue. I found my makeup applied absolutely wonderfully on top and it wasn’t too heavy on my oily skin at all!

Eventually when I finished this one I moved on to the Dermalogica Clearing Defence SPF30 which is probably better suited to my skin overall as it’s part of their Clear Start range for teen and young adult spot print skin. I love it just as much and it was ingredients to help my spots too!
Dermalogica Daily Milkfoliant – £65.00
This is a milkier and softer version of the daily microfoliant. Where the microfoliant is meant to brighten and smooth, this milkfoliant is meant to help calm and smooth. It does have AHAs and BHAs but combined with coconut milk and then it’s more suitable for sensitive skin and days. I think it’s absolutely beautiful!

Two newer products that I’ve only used twice but immediately shot up with their impressive first-use results are…
Dermalogica Breakout Clearing Liquid Peel – £29.00
I’m a bit surprised at the price to be honest because when I tell you there was an IMMEDIATE improvement in my skin’s texture, I was beyond impressed! My skin felt absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to start using this the recommended twice a week! You’re meant to leave it for 7-10 minutes and rinse with cool water and follow with a moisturiser.

Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Mask – £65.00
I put this on without minutes of it arriving and my skin was absolutely glowing afterwards! I use a lot of facemasks to help with my spots but never do I look this calm and glowing afterwards! It wasn’t an overly oily glow either, it was just brighter, less red and just looked like my dream skin! Which is what the mask is meant to do, it’s meant to help dulling and lackluster skin whilst soothing and calming. It absolutely impressive and I can’t wait to use it more!
