Sleepy Piglet Mattress Discount Code & Review
If there’s one thing Alfie and I take seriously, it’s being comfortable. Between the fancy bedding, endless pillows, temperature control and gadgets, our bedroom is becoming a rather luxurious little sanctuary. The funny thing is, we haven’t even decorated it yet!
Our latest addition is the Sleepy Piglet Premium Memory Pocket 2000 Mattress, from a lovely Yorkshire-based company, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen Alfie quite so excited about a mattress.
His verdict? It’s 100% the best mattress he’s ever laid on. Not just comfortable, but ridiculously, unbelievably comfortable. And coming from someone who’s just as particular about luxury and comfort as I am, that’s quite the compliment!

Our Slightly Unusual Setup
Before I get into the actual mattress review, I should probably explain our sleeping arrangements because they’re a little unusual at the moment. We’re not in our forever bedroom just yet. We have plans to create a gorgeous bedroom that works for us, but until then, we’re making the most of our current space.
I have a double bed with a mattress topper that I use to help make things more comfortable for my chronic back pain, and Alfie has a single bed positioned right next to mine. So we’re technically sleeping together, just with our own mattresses and bedding. And do you know what? It’s actually quite brilliant!
We can both have exactly what we want without compromising on comfort. My bedding is the gorgeous new Rise & Fall bedding, which I’m absolutely obsessed with, while Alfie has his own lovely cotton bedding from Dunelm.

It might not be the most traditional setup, but it works for us! Eventually, we’re planning to either upgrade to a super king bed or keep two separate mattresses together. We haven’t quite decided yet, which is why trying different mattresses now is actually really helpful. By the time we’re ready to create our dream bedroom, we’ll have a much better idea of what we both like.
And after trying Sleepy Piglet, Alfie might have already made his decision!
Meet Sleepy Piglet: A Yorkshire Mattress Company
I always love discovering brands that are a little closer to home, so I was especially pleased to find out that Sleepy Piglet is based in Halifax, West Yorkshire. As a Yorkshire girl myself, I do love supporting businesses from our part of the world.
Sleepy Piglet is a British sleep brand focused on making quality mattresses and bedding without unnecessary gimmicks. They have a small team of sleep experts, and their mattresses are designed to prioritise proper support, comfort and durability.
Their mattresses are made in the UK, with different designs and comfort options depending on how you prefer to sleep. One thing that really stood out to me is that Sleepy Piglet doesn’t squash its mattresses into boxes.
Now, we’ve all seen those mattresses that arrive rolled up and somehow expand into an actual bed. It’s quite impressive and convenient, but Sleepy Piglet takes a different approach. Their mattresses arrive full-sized, rather than compressed or rolled into a box. The company explains that this helps protect the springs and maintain the structure of the mattress.
I actually really like this. You’re getting a proper, full-sized mattress that’s ready to go straight onto your bed, without waiting for it to expand or settle into shape. Sleepy Piglet also makes its mattresses to order, so delivery usually takes around 5–10 working days rather than arriving the next day.

Sleepy Piglet Premium Memory Pocket 2000 Mattress Review
The mattress we’ve been trying is the Premium Memory Pocket 2000, which combines memory foam with traditional pocket springs.
It’s a hybrid mattress, meaning you get the cushioning comfort of memory foam alongside the support and responsiveness of springs. And let me tell you, this mattress is THICK!
It’s approximately 26cm deep, which is really impressive, especially when you see it next to my bed. My mattress has an additional topper on it to make it more comfortable for my back, yet Alfie’s new Sleepy Piglet mattress is practically the same height without needing a topper at all!
Considering how much extra cushioning I’ve had to add to my own mattress over the years, I was genuinely impressed. It looks and feels like a really substantial, luxurious mattress, and Alfie was absolutely delighted with it from the beginning.

What’s Inside the Mattress?
I know mattress specifications aren’t necessarily the most exciting thing in the world, but when you’re spending money on something you’ll use every single night, I do think it’s important to understand what you’re actually getting.
The Sleepy Piglet Premium Memory Pocket 2000 has several different layers designed to work together:
- 2000 pocket springs: Individually responsive springs that adapt to your body, helping distribute weight and provide support.
- 5th generation memory foam: A cushioning layer designed to contour around your body and relieve pressure points.
- High-density reflex foam: Adds support and helps the mattress recover its shape as you move.
- Microquilted knitted fabric: A lovely soft surface that gives the mattress a comfortable, premium finish.
- Breathable 3D mesh border: Helps air circulate through the mattress for better temperature regulation.
- Additional comfort and insulating layers: Designed to keep everything feeling smooth, supportive and comfortable.
The combination of memory foam and pocket springs is particularly interesting because traditional memory foam can sometimes feel like you’re sinking into it. This mattress is designed to give you that lovely cushioned feeling while still being supportive and responsive when you move.
The pocket springs also help reduce the feeling of rolling towards another person, which could be particularly useful if we eventually decide to get a super king version!
Is the Sleepy Piglet Mattress Comfortable?
According to Alfie, it’s beyond comfortable. I asked him what he thought, and he was so enthusiastic about it. He’s described it as the best mattress he’s ever laid on, and he is 100% happy with it.
I think the combination of cushioning and support is what makes it feel so luxurious. You want your mattress to feel soft and inviting when you climb into bed, but you also want to feel properly supported rather than sinking into something that offers no resistance.
A Few More Things Worth Knowing About Sleepy Piglet
Something I appreciate about Sleepy Piglet is that there are a few extra benefits that make buying a mattress feel a little less daunting. Firstly, they offer a 100-night sleep trial.
I think this is such a good idea because there’s a massive difference between lying on a mattress for five minutes and actually sleeping on it night after night. You need time to see how your body responds, whether the firmness suits you and whether you’re comfortable in your usual sleeping positions.
Sleepy Piglet asks customers to give their mattress at least 30 nights, and if it still isn’t right, their published trial terms allow an exchange! The Premium Memory Pocket 2000 also comes with a 10-year guarantee covering manufacturing faults and defects.
There’s free delivery across mainland UK, too, and an optional old mattress removal and recycling service if you don’t want the hassle of getting rid of your previous one.
One thing worth knowing is that this particular mattress isn’t designed to be flipped over, because of how the memory foam and support layers are arranged. And, of course, it arrives as a full-sized mattress rather than in a box, so make sure you’ve considered access through your doors, hallways and stairs before delivery.
