Skincare I’m Trying – Pestle & Mortar

I was so excited to hear about the new product from Pestle & Mortar – Hydrate, £38.00 50ml. I loved the Pestle & Mortar Hyaluronic Serum (which you can read about here) so I really had high expectations from the start.

Pestle & Mortar Hydrate moisturiser follows on brand and therefore it doesn’t contain any parabens, synthetic fragrances, mineral oils, sulphates silicones, or propylene glycol. It is formulated to be suitable for all skin types, however, I find it a bit too much for my ridiculously oily skin. A little goes a long way, and even a pump is way too much for your face so be sure to spread it down your neck and chest too. It contains patented peptides and ingredients such as jojoba6 which makes the skin feel soft and smooth.

I’m currently trying out Revidox, a new beauty supplement which contains completely natural ingredients. Priced at £35 for 60 days, you’d expect good results and so do I! I’m about 2 weeks into taking them now but I need to wait longer for full results. It’s a mix of mineral, vitamins and antioxidants including Vitamin C, Vitamin B2, Zinc and pomegranate extract. Mixed together they help to promote healthy skin, as well as helping to create healthy nails and hair.

I ended up taking the Hycosan Fresh Lubricating Eye Drops on holiday with me as I loved them so much! I really enjoy having eye drops around, they’re not something I necessarily need enough to remember to buy but whenever I do buy some, I become obsessed. These are probably the most refreshing I’ve tried and at a HUGE 7.5ml at £8.99 I’d even buy them when I run out.

Ocean Bloom Facial Serum at £21 for 30ml

Australian Brand Real U sent me a routine to try out with included their Real-U Gentle Foaming Face Wash – 100ml £7.00. A pH-balanced wash that gently cleanses your skin. This feels a lot gentler than most foaming face washes and is really enjoyable to use, especially on my oily skin. The Real- U Face Gel Serum – 100ml £20.00 follows on with controlling oil but doesn’t contain salicylic acid, I’d say I really need some as I didn’t notice much of a difference. The same goes for the Real-U Lite Moisturiser – 100ml £10.00, it’s nice, but nothing special.

Ooh! – Oils of Heaven

Although I have oily skin, I do appreciate a good oil and what it can do. The Ooh! Oils of Heaven Range have something for everyone.

Organic Moringa Anti-Oxidant Face Oil 
Organic Moringa oil can cleanse as well as moisturise, it contains vitamin A, C and oleic acid.

Argan Moisture Retention Face Oil 
Organic Argan oil rich in Vitamin E, as well as essential acids such as Oleic, and Linoleic Acid, which help the skin keeps its natural moisture.

Cacay Anti-Aging Face Oil
Everyone is going mad for Cacay at the moment as Scientific studies show that it actually contains a whopping 50% more vitamin E than Argan Oil! As well as 3 times more Retinol than Rose Hip Oil, making it a super powerful anti-ageing ingredient.

Anti Ageing Recovery Creme 15ml- 23 Carat Hydration Gold – £41.95

I love products like these, they really excite me. Obviously anti-ageing is no good for me, so I have my mum and dad test these instead. If you follow me on Twitter (@georginagrogan_) you’ll hear about my parents a lot!

This product actually contains 23 carats pure gold with hyaluronic acid creating a veil of gold glitter across your face that looks beautiful. Transformulas contains Hyaluronan which is the key ingredient, highly purified water and Zea Mays Oil which gives your skin the silky smooth texture, as well as gold powder. It hydrates the epidermis and the derma of the skin and literally makes you look illuminated. It’s quite interesting packaging as it’s an airless pump which means every time you have to pump 20-30 times to release the product.
