Simba Hybrid Mattress Review
Well, we’re a family of Simbas, I guess you could call us a Pride now. Bad jokes aside, all of my family are now sleeping and absolutely loving Simba mattresses. It started with my best friend raving out how his back felt so much better and as a member of the back bad club I needed some of that.

I already had a Simba topper on my old mattress which really is incredible, I couldn’t believe the quality of my old mattress topper in comparison. It was truly a waste of time and I had no idea, but the Simba one is incredible and I still have it on now too just for that extra sleeping on a cloud feel. It’s not really needed but I don’t have the space to store it and I definitely don’t want to give it away as it’s really comfortable.
Simba Hybrid Mattress Overview
So let’s get into it, what makes the Simba Hybrid Mattress so special?
- 1,900 Springs
- 9 Support Zones
- 25cm Depth
- 5 Layers
It’s a hybrid mix of both memory foam and spring coils, giving you the best of both worlds. These aren’t the king of coils you can feel though, they just fully support your body and give relief to your joints. They allow fresh air through the mattress for circulation and they have a lot of control so it limits movement. Gone are the days of feeling your partner on the other side of the bed!

So what are the 5 layers? It starts with a super soft and breathable, washable cover, then it goes into a foam layer for cushioning. The third layer contains the 1900 micro springs, before another layer of stabilising foam, and finally a zoned foam base.
With over half a million sold, there’s a reason for it! Everything has been thought about with this mattress, from the medium firmness, to how it supports your body. It even has a knitted top cover that comes up to allow for washing or if you need to replace it.
Simba Hybrid Mattress Review

I already had extremely high expectations and hopes and they were all met when I slept so peacefully on my first night. Getting a new mattress when you have a bad back can sometimes be a difficult thing to do, even though it’s obviously meant to help, because it takes a while to get used to it but I honestly didn’t feel any discomfort at all. It wasn’t too hard, it wasn’t too firm, it’s just been really comfortable sleeps every night! I’m beyond impressed! Even my partner, Alfie, won’t stop raving about it!
Simba is an all round really great company, from comfortable mattresses with speedy delivery, to their actual business model. They’re the Uk’s first B-Corp Sleep Brand with a huge focus on the environment. They have a massive push on recycling and refurbishing mattresses, and their goal is that they never end up on a landfill. They’ll even collect your old mattress from whatever company, with no purchase necessary for just £50 saving it from going to landfill isn’t that amazing?
I’ve been really impressed with Simba as a company, from the website and delivery process, to their actual products. Everything we’ve had from them from pillows to a single mattress topper and now an actual mattress has been really impressive, so well thought out and made with such high quality. It’s definitely a brand I’ll be telling others about and be buying from in the future too.
