Project E Beauty LumaLux Face Review & Discount
LED light therapy is one of those skincare treatments that I genuinely recommend to almost everyone, but I also think people need to have realistic expectations about it. Here is a review and discount code of the Project E Beauty LumaLux Face.
You are not going to use an LED mask once, wake up the next morning and suddenly look ten years younger. Unfortunately, skincare rarely ever works like that. LED is something you need to use consistently, and I often find that the changes are so gradual that I do not properly notice them until I compare photographs taken several weeks apart.
I have used various LED masks and at-home beauty devices over the years, so when Project E Beauty offered to send me its LumaLux Face Pro LED Light Therapy Mask, I was very intrigued.
What immediately caught my attention was the short three-minute treatment time. Most of the LED masks I have previously used require sessions of around ten minutes, which is not exactly difficult, but it can still become another task to fit into an already busy day.
The LumaLux Face promises a much quicker routine, along with 800 high-powered LEDs, several treatment modes and deep infrared light. After testing it over the last month, here is my honest Project E Beauty LumaLux Face review.

Who is Project E Beauty?
Project E Beauty is a beauty technology brand that has been creating at-home skincare devices for more than 12 years.
The brand focuses on making professional-inspired beauty technology easier to use at home, working with beauty experts and aestheticians to develop devices that can fit into an everyday skincare routine.
Its range includes LED light therapy devices, facial cleansing tools, microcurrent devices and other at-home skincare technology.
The LumaLux Face Pro LED Light Therapy Mask is one of the brand’s most advanced LED devices, designed to offer different treatment modes for concerns including visible signs of ageing, blemishes, redness and uneven-looking skin.
What is the Project E Beauty LumaLux Face?
The Project E Beauty LumaLux Face is an at-home LED light therapy mask designed to deliver a powerful treatment across the entire face.
It contains 800 high-powered LEDs, which Project E Beauty says is around four times more than the average silicone LED mask. The LEDs have also been carefully positioned to provide even coverage rather than leaving large gaps between the lights.
One thing I especially like is that the design includes LED coverage over the lips. This is an area that many masks leave completely uncovered, despite the skin around the lips being somewhere that people often notice fine lines and dryness.
The mask also includes cushioned eye protection. LED masks are naturally very bright, so having comfortable protection around the eyes makes a noticeable difference when you are trying to relax, answer emails or watch television during a treatment.
The main features include:
• 800 high-powered LEDs
• Quick three-minute treatment sessions
• Multiple treatment modes for different skin concerns
• Deep infrared light at 1072nm
• LED coverage around the lips
• Cushioned eye protection
• A portable controller
• A rechargeable design
• Full-face light coverage

What does LED light therapy do?
LED light therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to support different processes within the skin.
Different colours and wavelengths are associated with different skincare goals. Red and infrared light are commonly used in routines focused on visible signs of ageing, firmness and overall skin condition, while blue light is often used by people with spot-prone or congested skin.
The LumaLux Face gives you a choice of treatments rather than locking you into one single type of light. This makes it more versatile if your skin concerns change or you want to alternate between different modes throughout the week.
I have very spot-prone skin, but I am also increasingly interested in products that support firmness, texture and the visible signs of ageing. So I really appreciate having a device that can form part of a broader skincare routine rather than only targeting one specific concern.
What is included with the LumaLux Face?
The LumaLux Face comes with the mask itself, its portable controller and the accessories needed to charge and use the device.
The controller makes it easy to select your treatment and keep track of the session. I also found the battery life very good during my testing period, so I was not constantly having to remember to recharge it.
Everything feels designed to make the treatment as straightforward as possible. There is no complicated setup or need to connect the mask to an app before every use.
You simply prepare your skin, put the mask on, select your treatment and allow the three-minute session to run.
My experience using the Project E Beauty LumaLux Face
I use LED light therapy regularly, so I already knew that consistency would be the most important part of testing the LumaLux Face.
Unfortunately, my test did not go completely to plan.
During the last 30 days, I developed a cold sore and made the decision to stop using the mask for around a week. I did not want the cold sore touching the mask and potentially contaminating it, particularly when the mask sits closely against the skin and includes coverage around the lips.
That interruption means I do not have a reliable set of before-and-after photographs specifically showing four uninterrupted weeks of using the LumaLux Face.
I would rather be completely transparent about that than exaggerate the results or pretend that I followed a perfect routine when I did not.
However, my overall experience with regular LED use has been very positive. When I am consistently using my LED masks, my skin generally appears calmer, smoother and more even. The biggest differences are usually easier to spot in photographs than they are when I look in the mirror every day.
Because skin changes gradually, it is very difficult to remember exactly what your texture, redness or fine lines looked like several weeks earlier. Taking photographs in the same lighting and from the same angle is one of the best ways to monitor whether a skincare device is making a difference.
How comfortable is the LumaLux Face?
Comfort is one of the most important considerations when choosing an LED mask.
A device could have the most impressive technology in the world, but if it is heavy, uncomfortable or awkward to wear, you are far less likely to use it consistently.
I found the Project E Beauty LumaLux Face very comfortable to wear. The cushioned eye area helps the mask sit more comfortably around the face, while also reducing the amount of bright light reaching your eyes.
The treatment only lasting three minutes also makes it extremely easy to tolerate. Even on days when I cannot be bothered with an elaborate skincare routine, three minutes feels manageable.
I usually wear my LED masks while sitting at my desk, answering morning emails or working through smaller admin tasks. You could also easily wear it while watching television, listening to a podcast or relaxing before bed.
I have been known to walk around the house wearing an LED mask too. Once you get used to looking slightly futuristic, it becomes one of the easiest treatments to add to your routine.
Why the three-minute treatment time matters
The three-minute treatment time is probably the biggest practical selling point for me.
I own and use several beauty devices, including the ZIIP Halo and at-home laser devices. I also use retinoids and other intensive skincare products, so my complete routine can quickly become overwhelming when I try to do everything at once.
I know I need to get into a better schedule with all of my devices rather than using everything enthusiastically for a few days and then forgetting about half of it.
LED is usually the easiest part of that routine because it does not require me to actively do anything once the mask is on. The LumaLux Face makes it even easier because the session is finished in just three minutes.
That is short enough to complete while checking a few emails, making a cup of tea or watching part of a television programme.
For anyone who has previously bought a beauty device and abandoned it because the treatments took too long, the shorter sessions could make a significant difference.
How the LumaLux Face fits into my skincare routine
I use quite intensive skincare, including retinoids, and I am also spending much more time outside in the garden now.
I am extremely careful with my face and normally wear a high-protection SPF 50. However, I will admit that there have been mornings when I have quickly popped outside before applying anything, which is a habit I need to stop.
No skincare device replaces proper sun protection. This is especially important when you use ingredients such as retinoids or have a routine focused on improving pigmentation and visible signs of ageing.
For me, LED is an additional step that supports my wider skincare routine. It does not replace cleansing, moisturising, active ingredients or daily SPF.
I also do not think you need to use every beauty device you own on the same day. A realistic weekly schedule is much more achievable than trying to complete a complicated ten-step routine every morning and evening.
The best skincare routine is ultimately the one you can maintain consistently.
LumaLux Face compared with my other beauty devices
I do not see the LumaLux Face as a replacement for every other skincare device I own because each piece of technology works differently.
My ZIIP Halo uses electrical currents and is much more of an active facial treatment. I have to move the device around my face and follow a specific routine.
My at-home laser devices are also targeted treatments that require more attention and planning.
The LumaLux Face is much more passive. I can put it on, select the treatment and carry on with something else while it works.
This makes LED one of the easiest technologies to use regularly, particularly for people who are busy, tired or simply do not want their skincare routine to feel like a second job.
The short treatment time also gives the LumaLux Face an advantage over many of the LED masks I have used previously.
Although my testing period was interrupted by a cold sore, I have really enjoyed using the LumaLux Face.
It is comfortable, quick and incredibly easy to fit into everyday life. The battery lasted well, the controller was straightforward to use and the three-minute sessions removed one of the biggest barriers to maintaining a regular LED routine.
I already believe in the long-term benefits of consistent LED use, and it remains one of the skincare technologies I recommend most frequently.
The LumaLux Face does not require you to stand in front of a mirror, follow complicated movements or set aside a large chunk of your day. You can put it on while answering emails, watching television or relaxing at home.
For me, that convenience is what makes a beauty device far more likely to become part of a genuine routine rather than something that sits unused in a cupboard.
