Pretty in Pink with Plus Size Designer Brand, Navabi

Pink isn’t a colour I usually pick for myself with how pale I am, and having bright red hair. I just thought this was the perfect Spring occasion dress and I don’t really go to many weddings, or fancy spring occasions to ever showcase something like this. So I thought it was the perfect opportunity! I did promise I’d be better with posts this year, enjoy something different from me, thanks to plus size designer brand, Navabi!

This is the Manon Baptiste Jacquard Cocktail Dress and it’s truly so fun and bright! It’s really changed my mind on pink, and now I actually love how I look in this bold colour. Navabi is the higher end of plus size, the wonderful plus size designer picks, where you go for quality and they never disappoint. Manon Baptiste is one of my favourite brands that they stock, and they actually produce the clothes too. The last post where I wore something from Manon Baptiste also happened to be jacquard too!

The silhouette of this dress isn’t something I’ve worn before, it is indeed a fit and flare which is my favourite style, but the flare is much bigger and bolder thanks to the pleats on the waist. It creates a much larger silhouette and I love it! If this was full length it would feel like the shape of a ball gown. It has a zipper on the back and I found that the size 24 was spot on, it was a very comfortable fit (I always size up and right now I’m between a 22/24).

This beautiful dress is currently on sale at £151 and is selling out in quite a few sizes. I’d say it’s actually a great price for a plus size designer piece. I know I don’t accessorise well at all, but I genuinely would not put anything other than jewellery and a bag with this dress to wear out. I think any kind of shrug, or jacket would simply cover up the stunning print which really is lovely.

If you’ve ever avoided a certain colour before, this is me telling you to try it out! You may surprise yourself.
