Perfect Father’s Day Gift – Dremel 8100
Searching for that perfect Father’s Day gift? Well if you haven’t found it in my Father’s Day Fashion Gift Guide, or the Ultimate Father’s Day Gift Guide that my dad and I put together, then don’t fear because here’s something that’s perfect for dads that like doing DIY projects and adding to their tool collection. The Dremel 8100 Outdoor Project Kit put a serious smile on my dad’s face! He’s had a multitool in the past but it was nothing compared to this, the Dremel is far superior in every single way.

My dad uses many tools for his job as a plumber, and at home too. He recently started to redecorate the garden by changing the fence and shed colour, and taking our table and chairs apart to sand them down and re-stain them. It was a much bigger job than we all imagined but after the Dremel arrived, the sanding down of the table and chairs became much faster!
The Dremel 8100 Outdoor Project Kit retails at £99.98 and it a cordless multitool that has 45 different accessories. Nearly every single tool my dad uses has long cords that you have to be careful of and watch out for, he has loved not having to worry about those and being able to work cordless. As there are so many accessories with the Dremel 8100 it means that you can cater for pretty much any detailed task, and change the accessory in a simple click and twist! It’s so simple and easy to switch between the different heads and you can go from cutting to sanding in no time at all. The Dremel needs 1 hour to charge and for long jobs it means you will have to charge it whilst you’re working but my dad had so much to do that he really didn’t notice the hour go by at all.

One of the biggest problems my dad faced was that the bolts on the chairs needed to be changed due to age, but he couldn’t get them off because they had worn down so much. He used the Dremel 8100 with the cutting blade accessory to cut the heads of the bolts off and in his words, ‘it worked brilliantly.’ He’s so impressed with his new tool and he’s been constantly using it.
‘The sanding tool for in-between the parts of the chair was fantastic and saved me a lot of time and energy, it’s surprisingly powerful and it has several settings too. The tool kit that comes with it has everything you’ll ever need and more!’
One of the things my dad emphasised most was how comfortable the Dremel 8100 is to hold and he really wanted me to point out that you should be wearing safety goggles when using the cutting blade or sanding tool.
You can buy the Dremel directly from their website.
