Paul Mitchell Neuro Care
Every time I wear my hair down straight it’s because I’ve not had the energy or time to curl it. It’s not a style that I happily wear as I don’t like it on myself. However, every single time I have my hair straight, someone compliments it! No matter where I am, even strangers compliment it. Clearly I need to start seeing what they see and embrace my hair straight. For the last few weeks I’ve been trying out some new products from the Paul Mitchell Neuro Care range, as well as a new pair of straightens, and some really shine-enhancing products. Which means whenever I’ve been wearing my hair straight, I think it’s looked better than ever!
Paul Mitchell Neuro Care

As you can see from the bottles, I’ve been heavily using the Paul Michell Neuro Care every single time I’ve washed and styled my hair. Even some days just for fun! The Paul Michell Neuro Care is all about protecting your hair against your heated tools so that you can style without worrying. These products prevent thermal damage up to 86% which is seriously impressive.
I’ve been using the Paul Mitchell Neuro Care Shampoo (£18.95 for 272ML) and the Paul Mitchell Neuro Care Conditioner (£20.95 for 272ML) for the past few weeks and I really love them. They’ve made my hair feel so soft, even the more frazzled bits at the very back of my hair. It isn’t too heavy and doesn’t pull my colour out massively, but obviously it’s not the best on red hair either. They smell really nice and the conditioner has made my hair a lot less frizzy, even when I air dry it (like I’m doing right now as I type.)
The Paul Mitchell Neuro Care Prime (£8.95 for 25ML) has been amazing whilst blow-drying my hair. It’s left my hair feeling so soft, looking glossy, and practically ready to go out! Again the smell of it is amazing and you really don’t need much at all. At the same time, if you do over-apply it, I’ve noticed that it doesn’t go horrible in your hair like a lot of other ‘priming’ hair products do. I can be a little heavy-handed with products like these so it was definitely a relief! Finally, the Paul Mitchell Neuro Care Protect (£21.95 for 205ML) is my favourite in this range and one of the most enjoyable haircare products that I’ve tried in a while. It’s such a lightweight hairspray that you apply before using heat products. It doesn’t hold the style much, but it does make your hair look incredibly shiny and feel amazing. Plus the smell is like you’re in an actual salon. It really controls my frizz too!
Overall I’ve really loved the Paul Mitchell Neuro Care range and I definitely recommend it.
Finish

It has been over a decade since I used a shine spray on my hair and it was nothing at all compared to this Awapuhi Shine Spray(£20.95 for 125ML). This really is a babe of a product, it adds such a glamorous, I’ve had at least 3 people working on my hair, kind of shine. It does not leave your hair feeling greasy at all which is amazing and you can really go to town with spraying this. I haven’t stopped using it and I really think that this is such a fantastic product that everyone needs. It really levels up your hair. If your hair needs a little extra help deeper down, then there’s the Awapuhi Styling Treatment Oil (£27.95 for 100ML). This is a super beautiful oil that provides a silicone seal around your hair, and it adds a real heavy shine. After it’s worked in or left for a while your hair returns to a natural glossy state. Below I have used everything in this post on my hair.
Including the Celeb Luxury Gem Lites Colourwash that I used a little different to advised. I’ve already had a bottle of this before and I absolutely love the colour pay off, not only does it keep my red hair bright, but it also provides a great top-up. Alone it works really well as a great shampoo too, and my hair always feels super clean afterwards. I prefer to apply this onto dry hair sometimes, especially at the side where my roots are on show as my dye fades really fast there. I leave it on for around 5-10 minutes and I notice it works really well at blending my hair back brighter. I use the shade Ruby which is a very vibrant red. It’s 100% vegan and one of my favourite hair care products for red hair.
