Paul & Joe is a Parisian fashion and beauty brand founded by designer Sophie Mechaly, known for its beautiful prints, playful designs and vintage-inspired aesthetic. Their beauty collection is particularly recognisable thanks to its gorgeous floral packaging and adorable cat illustrations.

This year’s advent calendar has a Starry Night in Paris theme, featuring a beautiful midnight-blue design decorated with golden stars, festive animals and charming illustrations. It’s one of those boxes that you’ll want to keep!

There’s a lovely variety of products this year, and I’m especially pleased to see both shampoo and conditioner included alongside the skincare and make-up.

What makes this calendar stand out for me is the variety. There are everyday products like cleansing water, make-up bases and hand cream, alongside fun extras such as limited-edition lipsticks, a blush and beautiful accessories.

It’s also such a lovely gift for someone who enjoys discovering new beauty brands, particularly if they love beautiful packaging as much as the products themselves.

Personally, I think the design is a huge part of the appeal. It’s the sort of advent calendar you’d want to have on display throughout December, and the decorative box is far too pretty to throw away afterwards.
