10 years into plus size fashion blogging and there really is nothing more exciting than stumbling across a new brand to shop at! It’s so tiring scrolling through endless fast fashion websites only to find that they don’t cater to your size, or have terrible ethics. Allow me to introduce you to a very exciting plus size fashion brand: One Six.

One Six is a plus size fashion brand that is actually inclusive, notice the ‘actually’ there? So many brands claim to have ‘fashion that fits everyone’ and then 80% of their new in section doesn’t go past a size 26. It’s even worse when the sizing comes up small, meaning their even less inclusive. Sizing at One Six goes up in numbers from Size 1 to Size 6 and those translate to UK16-20 to UK36-42. I’ve never seen a brand cater above a size 36 before which is really incredible to see.
Experience Matters
When it comes to plus-size fashion, experience matters. Even though I’m new to the brand, One Six has been in the industry for years, perfecting its craft and understanding the needs and desires of plus-size individuals. The company was founded in 1986, that means they’ve been in the industry for an incredible 37 years!

I know I personally find shopping sustainable quite difficult sometimes, if it’s not accessible due to the high price, then I find my style doesn’t align. Of course there are lots of other reasons someone might find sustainable shopping as a plus size person difficult, especially as there isn’t much choice so I will always shout about a brand once I find and try it out!

One Six is the first brand I’ve seen with the best inclusive sizing for all, truly amazing to see. They offer a wide range of sizes, from UK16 to UK42 which is just unheard of! Ensuring that every plus-size individual can find their perfect fit.
Suits You
From their carefully curated collections to even their in house alterations called ‘suits you’ so that they can adapt your piece to quite literally, suit you and your needs. From wheelchair users needing a shorter length on dresses, tops, or trousers to if you just prefer your tops a certain length. One Six also offer an exclusive order service where if they’ve ran out on the website you can still contact them to see if they have anymore fabric to make something just for you! They’ll do their best!
One Six Review
As soon as I saw the Allegra Pebble print I knew it was the one for me! It’s such a gorgeous dark green colour made from soft recyled jersey, with black circle print. It has a higher v-shaped necklace and it’s a oversized smock design. It also has two pockets which are always welcome!
At £89 I think the price is really reasonable for the quality and knowing that it’s a slower fashion brand.
I asked for it in a UK26 which is their size 3 and suits 24-28. Due to it being a smock design I could have easily worn the size 2, 20-24.
I also got to try out some of their beautiful sleepwear. The Xandra Satin Pyjama Set is so gorgeous and really great quality too with a soft silky feel. They’re so comfortable and I definitely think the size 3 in these are perfect because I like a comfier oversized fit with my nightwear.
At £85 they’re definitely a luxury buy but they’d be great for a present if your budget allowed, or a special treat for yourself.
