I’m The Official Face of Scarlett and Jo SS15!
I am incredibly over the moon to announce that I have been asked to be the face of Scarlett and Jo SS15! I just cannot keep a secret at all and although it has been hinted at, leaked on my personal Facebook and last night it appeared on The Sheffield Star, today is the day where it is all official! After being designed the dress of my dreams by the ever so talented Gifi Fields of Scarlett and Jo (exclusively at Evans), I was then asked to go to London with my fellow Plus Size Beauties and model the collection which was inspired and designed for us! We were unsure of what the day would hold, but I definitely think I speak for everyone when I say, it was one of the best days ever.
Home House is a beautiful and historic building where Gifi wined and dined me and my Mum after the Plus Size Awards and I completely fell in love with the place. Having the shoot there was like playing princess in a castle. The suite where the photos were shot and where we all got made up was absolutely breathtaking and the day was so relaxed and full of fun. I got to spend time with some of my favourite bloggers who inspire me daily, and be amongst probably the most beautiful collection of clothes I have ever seen!
We were incredibly lucky to be photographed by none other than Nicky Rockets, the wonderful Betty Pamper’s husband, who I now consider a master of Plus Size photography. Everyone looked stunning on the day, mesmerising, but seeing the photos of everyone is just utterly amazing. Nicky guided us through some poses and really made us all feel comfortable, especially for someone who’s only ever had a failed attempt at modelling/campaign shoots before. We were even allowed to get ourselves ready or use the Hair and Makeup Artists there which meant at any point, touchups and changes in makeup were encouraged and welcomed. My inner Diva was thrilled.
We had so much control over the way we posed, how we looked and even what we wore. Though things had been set out in our size, Gifi wanted us to feel comfortable and try on whatever we liked the look of. I certainly took advantage of this by trying on the black version of my beautiful dress, I wasn’t photographed in it, but I sure made time to wander around and take my own photos!
It was absolutely amazing being able to spend so much quality time with such like-minded people and finding out more about them, it’s only made me love them all even more as they’re such down to earth and beautiful people. I’ve even put together a little collage of all of the final shots that were shared on Scarlett and Jo’s Tumblr. Aren’t they incredible? Below is Nancy, Hollie, Elena, Mayah, Becky, Betty and Gloria (who I did have a little fangirl moment over after watching her Youtube years ago and literally crying of laughter….)
As much as I would absolutely just post the entire 100 unedited photos of the shoot as I am so in love with them and incredibly vain, I have picked a couple of my favourites. All were shot by Nicky Roberts and only one has been retouched by myself, obviously not well (as MAC Diva dried up and betrayed me…)
The new Scarlett and Jo collection lands today at Evans and my beautiful dress will be out around Wednesday, just in time for Valentine’s Day! Being the face of the brand does indeed mean that they’ll be a lot of exciting reviews coming and, my face is now on Evans.
The support so far on my blog and everything I have been doing has been completely overwhelming and absolutely incredible, I would have never imagined this is what I would be doing with my life but I really couldn’t be happier. I want nothing more than to continue my work of talking about beauty and plus size fashion, twirling in pretty dresses and most of all, engaging and exciting the most amazing audience ever. Thank you all so much, it really means the world to me.
