New Haircare Releases

There’s been lots of recent new haircare releases these past few months, and here are just a few that I’ve been trying out.

Lee Stafford Cactus Crush

It’s safe to say I was extremely shocked when I saw the press release for the new Lee Stafford products. If I hadn’t had read ‘Cactus’, I would have seriously questioned what the design was about. Even when you know, it’s still quite an odd-shaped product to have in the family bathroom. This new Cactus Crush range is all about hydrating and keeping the hair looking healthy. They range uses the properties of a cactus to moisturise the hair and leave it looking shiny. There are other summer fresh ingredients like lime, and Kalahari Melon Oil too. I’ve found that this range is absolutely no good for my coloured hair as my red just runs out terribly, but it does make my hair feel really soft. I used the Mucho Moisture Hair mask the day it arrived and I was not disappointed. This really added some life back into my hair, I do always enjoy using the Lee Stafford hair masks. For those of you who need a little extra help with bringing shine to your hair, there’s even Dazzle Drops which can be applied on wet or dry hair to add that extra glow.

The shampoo and conditioner are £7.99 from Boots, the hair mask is £8.99 and the drops are £8.49.

TIGI Bed Head Oh Bee Hive™ Matte Dry Shampoo – £15 

I really really wanted to love this as I use dry shampoos so much now. Whether it’s for adding extra volume or just for when I don’t want to wash my hair, I have quite a few on the go right now. This is one of TIGI’s best selling products but it’s really failed to impress me. My hair felt greasier after I used it and the white powder was really inconsistent. The first time I used it I thought it was fantastic but as I’ve been using it more it really doesn’t live up to expectations. I’ve heard a lot about TIGI haircare though so if there’s something you think I should try, I’d love to know!

Tangle Teezer Wet Detangler – £11 

Anyone who knows a bit about looking after their hair will know that brushing it whilst it’s wet is a big no-no. This is when your hair is the most fragile and when you’re meant to be kinder to it. The temptation is real though. This is a new haircare release that is really soft and gentle on wet hair, meaning you can brush away. It has 325 flexible teeth and it’s by far one of the most comfortable brushes I’ve ever used. It’s my new favourite and I’ve been using it daily.

I’ve also got one of the new Tangle Teezer Compact Stylers in the design, Girl Power. These are £12.50 and everyone needs a couple laying around the house. Alfie uses them to style his hair, we use them on the cats and pop one in our handbags too.

Time Bomb Hair Thickening Supplement – £18.50

There’s only ever been one Time Bomb product that I haven’t loved, the rest have been absolutely amazing and this is no exception. It’s a clear liquid that instantly adds thickness and volume to your hair, without weighing it down or making your hair feel sticky. Simply apply to damp hair all over, from the roots down to the middle, even the ends if you’d like! There’s a slightly textured feel to it, but you could simply just use a little less if you didn’t like this. It’s nothing offensive and you can’t see it, but you can feel it. It does add a slight shine to your hair too which is great! I really wasn’t expecting it to work this well, especially not on my already thick hair but I can definitely see the volume.
