Meadowhall Student Night
I’ve always loved the look of Meadowhall Student Nights but for as long as they’ve been going, I haven’t been a student! Which means I’ve always missed out of the fun, but one of the perks of being a blogger is, press nights! I was super surprised to get an invite to the last Meadowhall Student Night and I couldn’t wait to find out all the special discounts and exciting activities that they had on. It was on the 3rd of May from 6pm – 9pm, with 100s of special offers, giveaways, and discounts across so many stores. Entertainment included DJ sets from Capital, free face glitter makeovers, a clycone maze to win prizes in, virtual reality experiences, sweet stalls, and several others things.
Mum and I dressed in spring florals as it was quite a warm day. I had my new Collectif dress on (that I bought last year) and mum had a new Newlook dress on, I did actually buy it for myself but she looks much better in it. I think we both look rather cute!
Nars Makeup Masterclass
The night started off in House of Fraser Meadowhall for a Nars Makeup Masterclass with Senior Makeup Artist, Cherelle Lazarus. I’ve never been impressed by a makeup class before, usually they do something wild and that makes me cringe, but the last one I went to at Meadowhall was really good, and so was this! Cherelle applied barely any makeup at all and yet created such a stunning look, obviously it helped that the model was a natural beauty too! I seriously love this eye look, the way it popped in person and on camera is seriously stunning. I actually haven’t tried a lot from Nars but now I’m definitely interested in playing with their products more! We received an awesome goodie bag each that contained the most perfect red shade for me ever? I’m so shocked to find my perfect red in a random goodie bag! With both of our bags combined you can quite easily create a look and I’ve been having a lot of fun trying the products out.
Tapas Revolution
My favourite place to dine in Meadowhall is Tapas Revolution, I’ve blogged about them countless times and I always tweet and Instagram when I’m there. I love the atmosphere, the staff, the sangria, the wine, and most importantly, the food. It turns out that we were two of three meat eaters at the event, which obviously no one knew before we got there. Which means we had quite the spread! I’ve honestly never been so happy. We had so much delicious food, everything was cooked to absolute perfection, the sangria was amazing, and it just made me love Tapas Revolution even more. I find it really difficult to ever eat anywhere else in Meadowhall now. For a special Student Night treat, Tapas Revolution’s Churros Stand were doing special flavours and I actually shouted to the waiter when I saw him with marshmallows! It made everyone and even myself laugh, but I just love marshmallows and couldn’t believe that I saw them. They were also the best churros to date, so fresh and warm!
Goodie Bag
Meadowhall gave us special goodie bags that were packed of amazing goodies! My mum’s bag, modelled with Bella. It hard The Shake Lab, Urban Decay, Too Faced from Debenhams, Benefit, Elemis, Boost, an awesome selection from Aveda, perfume samples, and other beauty samples. The blogger beauty bag was a little different as we got a beautiful bath from Cath Kidson, a pick & mix from Wilko, and Aveda goodies too. Thanks so much to all the brands who gave stuff for the goodie bags, so sweet of you!
Ladies Night
If you’re not a student and wonder how you can get in on all the action, discounts, giveaways and more then head to Meadowhall Ladies 5th July, 5-9pm. There’s usually lots of pampers around the centre and it’s always a lovely night.
