Luxury Haircare Ranges

Over the past few months I’ve been testing some beautiful haircare products, all of which definitely come under the luxury band. You won’t find these on the shelf at your local supermarket, instead you’ll have to order online or buy them at selected salons. I do love testing out haircare ranges because with my hair, I can really tell a good brand from a bad one. With my hair being a semi-permanent dye, and bright red, not all coloured shampoos are made to deal with the levels of colour protection I need, so don’t worry, I’m not overly harsh on them at all.

The first luxury haircare range is Caviar Infinite Color Hold. This is a collection of four different haircare products, a shampoo, conditioner, serum, and top coat protection spray. They contain actual caviar extract, as well as other lovely ingredients like sunflower seed oil, and the Alterna color hold technology. Not only does this range smell amazing, but it’s also done an incredible job at making my hair feel clean, without pulling too much colour out. Even Alfie has been sneakily using it as it leaves your hair feeling so nourished. The shampoo and conditioner are £34.50 each, they really are so beautiful and they do last quite a long time, even when your boyfriend steals some! The Top Coat is £37 and works by adding a layer or protection to your hair colour, adding shine, and protection from UV. The Serum is £37 again and this does very similar, adds shine, protection, but this also adds protection against heat and helps prevent any breakages. Simply just apply either or both on damp hair and style as usual!

I think my great hair disaster was two years ago where a very kind blogger friend gave me some Olaplex to try. I don’t think I did it properly with the panic of my hair looking so bad so I didn’t really join the bandwagon until now. I’m so glad that I’m finally on it! I was sent a bottle to review and immediately have to order another one after using it for the first time. The results were pretty much instant and my hair looked and felt amazing. I managed to find the (extremely small but you apparently don’t need a lot) bottle for half price, so it was silly not to.

You probably all know about Olaplex by now but basically, it’s a product that can restore your hair and make it look and feel fabulous again. Whether you bleach a lot, or just use a lot of heat, Olaplex can help your hair to look healthy and actually be healthy too. It’s recommended to use the treatment at least once a week. I hate using masks or any sort of product on wet hair, with mine being red it just drips colour everywhere, so I applied it to dry hair instead. Sure it meant that I used quite a bit more, but the results were amazing! I’m continuing to use it and now I think I’ll always have a bottle in, just for maintenance! 100ml is £32. (They’ve just launched an Olaplex Bond Maintenance Kit!)

Now this next luxury haircare range really is luxury! Restora™ isn’t just about using one of their products, it’s a full system to bring your hair ‘back to health.’ After only one use this range claims to restore your hair back to a healthier, shiner condition and I can confirm, it does just that! You’re meant to use the Restora™ Protein Shampoo first, followed by the incredible Restora™ Protein Treatment. This goes on wet hair and then you simply add the hair net and wait for 30 minutes, or a little longer if your hair needs longer to feel like the treatment has dried in your hair. This range is also great for colour fade prevention and strengthening hair. Even though the bottles are significantly smaller I found that you didn’t need a lot of product at all. The treatment is quite a watery consistency meaning it spreads really evenly whilst applying it. Prices start from £8.99 for the shampoo and conditioner, and £24.99 for the treatment.

Finally, more from Kenra Professional! I really adore this brand and this Kenra Professional Color Charge range smells exactly like a shine spray I used to have when I was a teenager. It has been amazing for keeping the colour of my hair last longer, and to look really vibrant too. It can actually help colours last for up to 50 shampoos, but that’s definitely for permanent colours. What I love about this range is the Color Charge Mask or as I call it the colour sealing mask. After shampooing, you add this mask to your hair and wait for about 20 minutes to lock your colour in! It works so well and it makes your hair smell amazing. I don’t think there’s any need to condition afterwards but you can if you like. Although there’s a texture spray in the photo, I didn’t end up liking this at all to recommend it. So, onto the last and such an awesome product, the Color Charge Serum, or the colour protecting spray. This helps protect hair against heat, sun damage, and locks the colour in! It is amazing, I’m using it so much and I really do think it’s great, plus the smell once again is incredible!
