Knight & Wilson PurePlex Hair Repair System – Before & After Photos
I’m a little late to this party but I’m so glad that I’m finally in the know. I’m so pleased to have finally tried out the Knight & Wilson PurePlex Revolutionary Hair Repair System for myself and now my mum has even tried it too. Think of an actual affordable and easily accessible version of Olaplex. Quite possibly, even a dupe but you’d have to check with people who have tried them both more than I have.
Surely by now everyone and their cats have heard of Olaplex, it’s the hair restoring treatment that has taken over the beauty world and now finally there’s an affordable version that we can all easily get at Superdrug. If you colour your hair a lot, bleach it, style it with heat, use hairpieces for women or simply just have drier and hard-to-tame hair, then this is the product you need to try.
Above you can see a before and after photo of the Knight & Wilson PurePlex on my mum’s hair. I did cut it for her here as well (I’m no expert hairdresser, just doing my best whilst shielding!) You can really see a huge difference in the health of her hair here. It’s a lot more hydrated, smoother and looks so much healthier. All of this really allows for her hair colour to really pop!
Knight & Wilson are the brands that brought us Colour Freedom, and now they have brought out their own version of Olaplex, and beauty gurus are already recommending it to everyone. PurePlex is ridiculously affordable, at just £12.99 you quite honestly get a salon experience in your own bathroom. I honestly cannot recommend it enough. It’s extremely easy to use with a quick 4 step system that can be completed in under 30 minutes.
Instructions for Knight & Wilson PurePlex:
Step 1 Shampoo: Using the PurePlex Clarifying Shampoo. This will prep the hair by deep cleaning it and removing any build-up, then you simply towel dry.
Step 2 PurePlex Protecting Treatment: This is a clear liquid that is extremely watery and you apply it all over your hair evenly and wait 5 minutes. If there’s any leaking off you can softly towel dry the excess but I prefer to work it back in as much as possible. Do not wash this off and add the next step on top.
Step 3 PurePlex Bond Reconstructing Treatment: This contains AMINOFIX technology. This works by penetrating the hair’s cortex deep down and strengthening the hair from within. Leave this on for 15 minutes and then rinse thoroughly.
Step 4 Condition: With the PurePlex Conditioner and rinse it all away. You’ll then be left with shiny, healthy-looking and feeling hair.
It’s so quick and easy to use, you really need to try it. It works immediately and helps to restore elasticity, strength, and shine to your hair. I’m absolutely made up with the results and I’ll definitely be using it again. There’s also the Knight & Wilson Pureplex Shampoo and Knight & Wilson Pureplex Conditioner that you can buy as a post-treatment for £7.99 each.
My mum started using these after her treatment and she thinks they’re both incredible and is now on her second lot. I’ve seen other beauty bloggers raving about them as well. It’s always a good idea to keep up an intense treatment like PurePlex with any accompanying products, plus with these being so affordable at £7 each for that salon result, it’s a bargain!
Knight & Wilson and Colour Freedom are very impressive brands with a great range of products but PurePlex is definitely the star product here. As for how often you need to use it, that would completely depend on how much heat and bleach you use on your hair, how much you damage it basically. If you keep up with the shampoo and conditioner, this will definitely help lengthen the benefits.
