For the last two years I’ve been over on my luggage allowance at the airport and just laughed it off. Ha, ha, I’m so over the top. This year? I even surprised myself. We actually took a third case but this time, everyone had something extra they wanted to pack! So I didn’t feel too much of a diva. Some of that extra suitcase included the perfect bunch of holiday gadgets and beauty products that made our holiday even better.
Holiday Gadgets
We really are a family of gadgets, my dad loves earphones, Alfie loves speakers, and I’m all about portable chargers. My mum had a break from technology but she definitely didn’t say no to a handy portable. Our favourite, and actually my ALL time favourite portable charger is the Varta Slim Power Bank (£34.99). It’s the portable we travelled with on the plane and the one that we took out every day, it can charge your phone up to 5 times. It’s beyond impressive! It doesn’t weight much and it looks good too.

Taking photo is more of Alfie’s thing but I loved having the Manfrotto Pixi Clamp whilst on holiday. It’s so good at setting up the timer and getting the perfect photos, or just recording with a steadier view. You could just use it as a lengthening boost for the perfect pictures too. The opportunities are endless! It’s a seriously high quality tripod and it’s so lightweight that you could take it anywhere.
UAG Plasma Series Huawei P10 Case – $39.95
The phone case in the photos below is from UAG, it’s super lightweight and very strong. It has an armour shell and an impact resistant soft core. Alfie has actually smashed a phone before so now we always make sure he has something protective on his phone. The case is ribbed which means it’s better for gripping the phone and keeping it in your hands. It has scratch resistant skin pads and it meets the military drop-test standards. It’s everything you want from a case, plus more as it has a 1 year warranty!
Lava Brightsounds 2 – £39.99
This is a seriously impressive speaker with so many impressive features. I loved it the second I saw it! We picked the teal colour but there’s 5 different colours to choose from. It has a LED light that is incredibly bright and perfect to have next to your bed. There’s a built-in power bank where you can charge your mobile or other gadgets via usb too! Not only can you play music via bluetooth but you can also answer calls on it, making it a handsfree device! Its battery lasts for up to 36 hours which is ridiculously good. This was used so much on holiday next to the pool and whilst we were in the villa. Alfie uses it constantly at home and it’s by far the best speaker we’ve had.
Holiday Beauty
I absolutely adore using the new Palmer’s Cocoa Butter SPF spray and bottle sunscreen. I asked for them both in SPF50 and I didn’t burn once whilst wearing these, and I always spelt amazing too. They’re seriously moisturising but that’s what you’d expect from this brand. We all loved the spray bottle at £12.99, it was beyond easy to use and so convenient. You can apply sunscreen without any help at all, reaching all those hard to get places. I cannot recommend these enough!
How fab are the new La Roche-Posay Anthelios Pocket & Kids Pocket SPF bottles at £10 for 30ml!? We always had one of these with us and everyone loved the formula. The kids range is award winning and it’s not hard to see why. There’s no residue at all and the protection is amazing. It’s a great sized bottle to keep and top up as you need it as they’ll literally fit in your pocket.
I cannot believe how fantastic the hairdryer in the CoCo LoCo Jet Set Hairdryer Kit (£29.99) is! It’s the only hairdryer that we took on holiday and with its 1700w it was amazing and more than what we expected! The hairdryer is coconut infused with two heat settings, and the set comes with a mini shampoo and conditioner. The rose gold case that the set comes in is so beautiful and this is definitely going to be my go-to travel driver. It folds up to save space, it’s super lightweight, and it packs a punch!
Finally, the last product I’m going o feature is these Holiday Style Personalised Flip Flops at £17.50. My dad loves these flip flops so much! More often than not people get confused with which flip flops are theirs or just put any on, one way to solve that? Stick your name on it. They come in small, medium, and large catering from a size 4-12. My dad think they’re a perfect fit and he loves the bright colours too.
