I have been wanting to try Hell Bunny for as long as I can remember. I’ve even tried to get into some of their things before but previously the sizing stopped at a 4XL and came up really small. When I got the email in late January to say that they had extended their sizing up to a 6XL, I could not wait to get them on my body. I wasted no time twirling around and even made an Instagram Reel showing how the dresses moved. If you’ve already seen the video you’ll have seen my excitement over useable pockets!

There really aren’t a lot of options for anyone a true size 24 or above in the plus-size vintage-inspired clothing world. Lindybop is sadly no more after going into administration. Collectif launched a plus-size collection with Simply Be that didn’t make it past one season and is since only being sold on Modcloth UK for more than double the usual prices. Voodoo Vixen did one very small collection with Fuller Figure Fuller Bust and Curves & Curls and I’m honestly struggling to think of any other companies that are truly dedicated to plus-size vintage-inspired clothing?

If you’re already a Hell Bunny fan or above a size UK26, you may already know that they’ve had exclusive pieces made up to a UK32 just for Yours Clothing. Very limited styles and they don’t seem to stay in stock for long! However, their expansion of sizes from a 4XL to a 6XL is across a huge amount of their range on their website instead of just dresses. There are blouses, tops, shirts, jumpers, skirts, jumpsuits and dresses. I really like that they’ve immediately given us a lot to choose from in styles that will make everyone happy.

Below in all the dresses, I’m wearing a 6XL which is a UK26, I’m definitely more of a size 26 these days but in some parts, I have found the dresses a tad roomy. If you’ve ever tried a Collectif Dolores, you’ll know how tight-fitting they are and yet still comfortable, if I was to size down I imagine it would be more of this type of fit. I’d fit but I wouldn’t be comfortable and with my chronic pain condition and M.E, I’ve given up the tight-fitting life. So a little gaping on my shoulders or back really isn’t going to put me off. I’m also wearing an Elomi Bijou Flirt which is an extremely supportive bra for my back pain. It doesn’t push my boobs together and instead evenly separates them, some of these dresses could definitely benefit from another bra style but again, I’m going for comfort.

Hell Bunny Star Catcher 50’s Dress – £55.99

Never did I think I’d be wearing unicorns on a dress but I actually love how this looks? Especially with a thin popcorn cardigan over the top. I always love a popcorn cardigan for how lightweight they are, most see-through so they don’t take too much away from an outfit, and most importantly, they don’t overheat me! This is definitely the roomiest dress, it has the most elastic in and I could have definitely gone a size down but it does mean that it’s extremely comfortable. There is a zip at the back but I always just put these types of dresses over my head.

Hell Bunny True Love Mid Dress – £50.99

You can have a lot of fun with this dress because there are lots of colours you can make an accent from! I didn’t have a bright blue cardigan but I think that would have looked super cute!

Hell Bunny Moana Mid Dress – £49.99

Although this style actually looked shorter online, I didn’t find that at all but I am only 5’3. I loved how comfortable the arms were on this and the bold print is right up my street! This is the one dress that makes me wish I was on holiday right now. The only thing this dress is missing is the perfect pair of matching sunglasses. I’m known for loving designer sunglasses and making sure your glasses suit your personality is key, but it needs to be affordable too. Chantilly 50’s Dress – £62.99

You already know this is my favourite! This is the nicest take on a cold shoulder (but does come in another style if you really can’t deal with any more cold shoulders.) I just absolutely adore this, I’m never one to shy away from colour and I just think it’s so beautiful and bold! I like that I wouldn’t need a cardigan at all and the quality of the dresses is really good, they’re not thin and flimsy at all.
