Hot & What’s Not – Gosh Cosmetics
It’s taken me way too long to get this post done but I just haven’t had a lot of time to be experimenting with makeup. I haven’t been going out much which means the odd times that I have, I didn’t want to risk using new products which might not work well or start to wear off after a few hours. Eventually I started to try out the Gosh Cosmetics Mix & Fix Colour Drops underneath my makeup and I really didn’t need to ever worry. These are flipping fantastic! The consistency is so impressive, they have great colour payoff, and you really don’t need a lot to get the results with these drops at all. They’re not necessarily something you’d use everyday, but on special occasions or when you really need it, they’re essential in your makeup bag.
There’s drops to make your liquid products lighter, or darker, and then colour correctors for red and dull skin. I have been using the green one a lot as my skin can be really red and I’ve found them to be amazing. They’re a great formula and blended down, you really can’t tell that you’ve just applied green all over your face. I actually think that these are quite a medium to full coverage, meaning that the light and dark drops work incredibly well mixed into foundation. I’ve used the purple under my eyes when my chronic fatigue has been making me look as bad as I feel, and I’ve been so impressed with how easily they brighten up my face. Again they blend seamlessly and are definitely the best colour correctors I’ve ever used. These are £10 each for 30ml and they are going to last a really long time! I was also really impressed by the lip products from Gosh Cosmetics and I’ve been using a few different things. I honestly thought that these holographic ones were lip glosses, but Gosh Cosmetics call them a Lip Oil! I’ve since found out that it’s basically something in-between that provides the gloss but also hydrates. I think this is a really great idea, and these two colours are so stunning. They work incredibly well over pretty much any colour, but I’m also so tempted to do a glossy lid look with them too! At £7.49 each they’re definitely worth trying.
The Gosh Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks are absolutely stunning, they apply so beautifully and creamy, but really do provide a long lasting lip. A perfect formula if you ask me! Plus at just £8.99, who couldn’t be happy with that? This is truly a stunning red colour and I’m definitely going to be picking up other colours from this range too. The Lip Liners were equally as great, I honestly don’t use them as much as I should but I’ve been reaching for these constantly. Ranging from £4.99 to £6.99, the colour range is great, they apply like a dream, and they even have a smudge brush on one side too.
So you’re probably wondering what I didn’t love from Gosh Cosmetics? And the short answer is, anything I’ve tried for eyes. Not the eye primer, Blown Away mascara, vibrating mascara, or eyeliner impressed me at all. In fact I thought they were really average. Of course, for some people these might be their staple products but I definitely think there’s far superior products in this range and it doesn’t include the mascaras for me.
