Are Heist Tights Worth The Hype?
When I first tried a pair of Heist Tights, I couldn’t believe how easy they went on, how comfortable they are, or how comfortable I remained whilst wearing them. To say I was impressed was an understatement. Finally, a pair of good tights! Unfortunately, that’s where it all came tumbling down. It wasn’t until we were taking photos of them before taking them off, that I noticed rips at both sides of my hips, and they weren’t little ones.
Obviously this was disappointing. Although the tights are still wearable for the time being, how long until they rip further down? What if it happens whilst I’m out? For the price of £19 for The Fifty, I can’t say I would recommend them due to the ripping.
Heist know about this problem and recommended that I tried The Eighty as they’re obviously thicker and stronger. They’re also a little pricier at £24 so I was expecting good things. Again they were super comfortable with their no digs feature due to the thick waistband. Alfie had no problem putting them on for me either, their sizing is definitely on point, but straight away I noticed the rips on my hips again. Clearly the seams there are not strong enough or there’s a fault in the design. The Eighty pair were noticeable thicker and warmer, they would be great for Winter if they just didn’t have the fault.
It’s a real shame as everything you’ve ever wanted from tights is here, it’s just not 100% perfect. Close, but not right. Based on this, could I recommend them? At £24 a pair, no. I’m sorry but there’s plenty of others that are not perfect for a lot more affordable.
The dress in this post is the new Leesa’ Black Rose Bloom Print Swing Dress in a size 24 from Lindybop. It’s only £32 and it’s such a beautiful and comfy summer dress. It’s a little roomier in the waist than I thought it would be, but it was nice for just roaming around. I could belt it if I wanted a more fitted look and feel. As it’s sleeveless I found a Collectif Cardigan that I hadn’t had a chance to wear yet and I thought the pink flamingo would look cute against the colourful florals. Lindybop actually do lots of these style cardigans now so I could probably find a better match for the dress. I’ll definitely be wearing this without tights when the weather warms up a little. I love the length on my 5’3 frame.
