Festive Lingerie Picks
Some of you are probably a little confused as I posted teasers of a few of these bras MONTHS ago, but flare up after flare-up, and then huge cold sores mean that I’ve only just been photo-ready enough to shoot them. I didn’t even get chance to try them on beforehand, the only one I have worn is the stunning Elomi Sachi bra. So let’s start with that!
ELOMI Sachi Plunge Underwired Bra £38

You have probably seen just about every plus size blogger in this bra now, and finally, it’s my turn. It truly is worth the hype and this is coming from someone who hates sheer, non-padded bras. This is so sexy, so comfy, so pretty, it’s just everything I want in a bra. The Elomi Sachi plunge bra is so simple yet the design really wows. I’ve obviously blurred out my nipples, not that I’m a family site (far from it), I just didn’t fancy having my nipples on the Internet for eternity. The mesh panelling isn’t something I usually love but I adore the look, and the harness detailing looks amazing with a low cut top or dress. The Elomi Sachi has a side support panel which means it pushes your boobs out and gives them a more natural shape. Obviously this will depend on what your natural shape is and where your boobs lay. I have extremely bottom-heavy boobs, which means I don’t have much breast tissue at the top, so my boobs kind of go cone-like from the side. Not too madonna but not far off. It’s not enough to stop me wearing it, it just needs the right outfit. Don’t let this put you off at all, it’s a seriously hot bra and ridiculously comfortable. I have chronic pain and this is one of the very few bras that I don’t want to burn for making my pain worse. I’m extremely impressed. This now comes in so many different colours and patterns, it really is THE bra to try for everyday comfort with the wow factor.
The matching pants for this set, unfortunately, did not fit, they looked super small (too small to attempt) and didn’t really stretch much.
The Elomi bra and the Curvy Kate Scantily bra below are both from Bra Stop. This online bra superstore has been my go-to place to shop for bras for years. Even before they worked with me, this is the only place where I would buy bras from because there is such a fantastic selection of brands, and they always have amazing prices. SCANTILLY by Curvy Kate Encounter Plunge Bra Black £52

This is a perfect example of why I don’t love sheer bras with no padding. Although this Encounter bra is SO beautiful. The embroidery is stunning, I love the hot pink detailing, but it’s just not a style that works on my boobs. It has been designed to only give a ‘subtle’ lift so this would work better for people with more fuller boobs are the top. Scantilly bras are definitely more for ‘play’ and not for ‘work’ or every day.
Curvy Kate Starlight Black/Sangria Padded Balcony – £32

I really adore the colour of this black and sangria Starlight set from Curvy Kate. It’s so beautiful! It’s a padded balcony bra that gives great lift and shape. I think I could have gone up another cup size to get a better fit but I’m only just starting to try H/HH cups so I’ve not got my perfect size worked out yet. I have always loved balcony bras because I wear a lot of low cut things, so I don’t want my bra to be showing at the top or sides. I love how this looks on me and I’d definitely say this is a bra to try! It has 3 hooks at the back for FF+ cups, which I think is a great feature and feels a lot more secure.
Gabi Fresh Celeste Sequinned Embroidered Bra £40

I have admired the Gabi Fresh x Playful Promises collections from afar for so long, I couldn’t wait to finally try them for myself! They are truly so stunning and striking and this set really has the wow factor! I can’t say I’ve ever thought I needed a sequin bra before but I really love this. It’s so beautiful with the details and the harness is amazing too. I sent my size off for these a while ago so they’re both a 40G and we struggled. The back is extremely small, I may look good, but the back fat was not happy. Underarm fat was splurging everywhere, it was a struggle to get them on. I would definitely go up a back and cup if I were to buy from Playful Promises, especially with anything with this kind of detailing that may come up smaller because of it. It’s still really beautiful and I love the photos Alfie took!
The sequinned embroidered briefs at £25 are STUNNING. So utterly beautiful! They are high waisted but if you have a rounder stomach then not so much, I sized up and this helped make them higher on me. This set really does wow and would make a great gift!

Gabi Fresh x Playful Promises Lena Dotty Mesh Bra £30

My boobies didn’t love being squished in this bra. Although I was really happy that despite being mesh, you can’t see my nipples through it so that’s a plus in my books! I definitely need a back size up and a cup size or two up for this to be a comfortable fit. It’s a really gorgeous bra though, and the matching pants are completely mesh and so pretty!
