Lush's Mask Of Magnaminty Facemask

This post was originally published in 2013 yet even now in 2020, I still have a fresh pot of this in my cupboard. Lush Mask Of Magnaminty Facemask is my favourite for a lot of reasons.

It’s the strongest mint smell ever. Meaning it really helps to wake you up, I love using this as a day time mask or even a morning mask when I’m feeling really tired. With chronic fatigue syndrome, that’s a lot! This helps wake me up and get me ready for the day.
It’s exfoliating as it contains Ground Aduki beans so you don’t just have a facemask, you get an exfoliating facemask that leaves your skin baby soft.
The main ingredient in Mask of Magnaminty is Bentonite gel which is really firming. That means that it’s a great mask to use all over your neck and decolletage. I’ve even been known to use it on my complete chest if I’ve found an out of date pot. No harm, just minty firming goodness.
The honey inside means it leaves my skin feeling moisturised and you don’t need to worry about the minty tingle drying your skin out. There is even a self-preserving version now which is a lot thicker, personally, I still prefer and buy the original as I have super oily skin and I don’t want it to add too much moisture.
It doesn’t have to stay in the fridge like the Lush Fresh Facemasks. Don’t get me wrong, I love a fresh mask but the amount I’ve wasted from simply not thinking about going to the fridge for a mask because let’s face it, you just don’t put two and two together!

There’s quite a few face masks that I actually use on my boobs before a night out, this one is lovely because it gently exfoliates my décolletage, making everything look firm and smooth. It dries fairly quickly which means it’s perfect for when I’m in a rush, or I just want a quick treat. The mint inside makes it slightly tingle which is a refreshing sensation and makes my skin feel really clean after I’ve taken it off. It’s really nice to take it off with a textured cloth as well, as it adds to the exfoliation. The main reason why I love Mask of Magnaminty is that it doesn’t have to stay in the fridge. I’m terrible at remembering to go to the fridge to get a fresh face mask before a bath so you could have it in any room that you use most and always remember to use it up. The longer date of a few months helps too!
