11 Body Care Brands To Try
Most weeks my bathroom looks out of control. It’s cluttered with products on every surface, baskets, and filling the cupboards. I love it though, I love that I get to try so many body care brands and that I could choose something different every day if I wanted. It’s truly like a little mini spa in my bathroom and I love pampering myself with bath time being my absolute favourite time of the day. This post does have the odd one or two things you can use in the bath, but it is mostly about all those wonderful products that you use after a bath. Lotions and potions!
11 Body Care Brands To Try
Epaderm Cream – £7.50
Let’s start with lotions. Alfie snatched this from me the second it arrived. He’s got a really annoying dry patch of skin that constantly flares up with different products, so as soon as he read what this Epaderm cream is meant to do, it was his! This is meant to relieve the symptoms of dry skin by improving hydrating in just 2 weeks. It’s the type of cream that you would use on dry patches, eczema and even psoriasis. Although Alfie found this to be an extremely thick cream, he noticed it was best to use an hour or two before bed so it had more time to dry in rather than sticking to your sheets. It has no fragrance in it and it definitely stopped the itchiness that can come along with dry skin conditions.

Embryolisse
I’m actually not a huge fan of the original formula (I have very oily skin) so I was very excited to get my hands on these two. The bigger bottle is a lighter formula than the original and it’s meant to be used all over your skin after bathing to lock in moisture. There’s also a Hydra-Mat version which is so much better for oily skin types. Embryolisse is such a staple brand to so many and if you do give it some effort, you can find products you’ll really love as they continue to expand their range. You can pick it up from Feel Unique, Look Fantastic, ASOS.

Time Bomb Show-Off: Super Hydrating Shimmer Lotion – £24.00
If you don’t have sensitive skin and you’re heading out, this is the perfect lotion to put on. It’s a shimmer lotion with the most beautiful silver sparkles in it! This is going to look amazing in summer or glowing at nighttime. It’s a very rich lotion so I’d recommend putting it on a little while before you get dressed, or only using a small amount. You really don’t need much for the shimmer. You could definitely put this on at night and be shimmering the next day. It really does look beautiful and I can’t wait until I can go out and wear it more! I’m also a huge fan of Time Bomb, their skincare is amazing.

Flexitol Moisturising Foot Cream – £5.99
Don’t forget your feet! The most neglected part of the body and something a lot of people miss out in their body care routine. I’m very lucky that although I have the widest feet are known to man (perhaps a slight exaggeration) I also have the most hydrated. I really don’t suffer from dry skin at all so this is another product that Alfie has been using for me and he absolutely loves it. These products, especially the Flexitol Heel Balm are intensely moisturising.
You’re meant to use these in the morning and night until your feet are back in good condition, then just use nightly or every other night to maintain. I like the fact that they do instruct to use the products heavily, as they really do work best that way. I have been using the Flexitol Cuticle and Nail Cream, Softens and Conditions Cuticles whilst having an unwanted break from acrylics and it’s really helped to get my cuticles back to a good condition. Overall this is definitely a brand we’re going to keep buying!

Seriously such beautiful bath salts, I pretty much used them within 2 days of them being here. I LOVE bath salts, their smell is always so beautiful but these were seriously so strong. It was like being in a very luxurious spa but I was in my own bathroom. They’re really reasonably priced at £6.50 – £6.95 too.

St. Moriz
Now I really thought I was about to try fake tan again but I’m just too scared of it! One thing I do love about fake tan brands is that their body scrubs and moisturisers are usually really good and at St.Moriz, I think I’ve just found my new favourite scrub! See, they need to be good enough to scrub away lumps and bumps and moisturise enough so that your tan applies evenly and beautifully. Which usually means they’re harsher than the average scrub and more moisturising than a standard body cream.

Beverly Hills Formula
I had completely forgotten just how much I enjoy this brand. The price is truly so good for how well the products work. Instant results with the Perfect White Gold at just £5.99. It has real gold particles as they’re known to be anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. This toothpaste now contains hyaluronic acid to help teeth become stronger and look after tissue.
We also really like the Professional White Advanced Sensitive Whitening, basically the sensitive version. Said to have been ‘specifically developed formula provides remineralizing filler action’, I mean, that’s pretty impressive?

Sensationail
It doesn’t seem like this exact kit is available currently but there does seem to be a seriously good one on Boots currently on offer for half price at £44.99. The USB LED lamp is honestly so great, I love how compact it is, that I can use it at my office desk and how easy it is to store. I actually didn’t love doing my own gel nails a few years back but needs must with current events and I’ve gotten much better at it. It’s so important to follow the steps, work in small layers and don’t apply too much product. This isn’t normal nail varnish and if you don’t follow the instructions, you’ll get into a little mess.

Diva World
Although Sensationail does have its own shade range, they’re not that easy to get hold of. However, you can use any brand with the LED lamp, including BlueSky from Diva World. They sent me all of my favourite nail colours, red, two types of silver glitter (thin glitter and chunky glitter) and black. These are really great gel polishes, the quality is insane and they look absolutely amazing on. I’m getting better and better at applying them and trying out glitter on top, glitter on the ends etc. My natural nails are very sad so I can’t wait to get some acrylics on and use these gels on top!

Be You
Let’s put this post to bed and finish up with a selection of products from Be You, known for their menstrual health products. I got a selection to try from them and ended up finding the most beautiful sleep spray. The BeYou Sleep Pillow Mist comes in at £17.99 but it’s actually so worth it. It’s so much more than just a standard lavender pillow mist. It smells like an aromatherapy spa treatment. It’s extremely strong which means the smell lasts for longer. I highly recommend this!
Everyone knows I’m the biggest Chaffree fan around, they are truly the only brand that works for me and type of chafing product. I really do need fabric shorts to stop chafing and cream or balm wouldn’t work for me day in day out. I save creams likes the BeYou Anti-Chafing Cream until I’m lounging around in swimwear. I find that’s the only time they work for me, but everyone is different.
Finally, the Be You CBD Oral Drops (30ml / 600mg CBD / £19.99) available in 3 different strengths including a weaker and stronger version than the one we have. This is the berry flavour that definitely helps with the general unpleasant taste that comes from CBD oils. Alfie absolutely loves CBD oils and takes them most days. He doesn’t mind the taste anyway but he did really enjoy this one more than others because of the berry.

Have you tried any of these products or brands before? Let me know in the comments.
