I was a little skeptical over using actual tea in my skincare, but I feel that it is my duty (well, that’s how I persuade myself) to try these weird things and tell you all if you should too, or run for the hills instead. Your Tea – TeaFace at £17.95 is definitely a different experience. It has been designed and formulated to gently revitalise, exfoliate, moisturise, heal scars and even help uneven skin tones to leave you with a healthier looking complexion that glows.
The TinyTea granules are mixed with essential oils from all over the Globe, which each play their part and help enhance the product as a whole. It’s pretty easy to use as you simply need to cleanse your skin to ensure it is makeup and oil free before taking a teaspoon full and lathering it onto your face gently in circular motions. After you’ve exfoliated, you can leave TeaFace to sink in for any time up to an hour before washing off and moisturising. It’s even gentle enough for sensitive skin, so you needn’t worry about any harshness.
Obviously with products like this, you can use it pretty much everywhere and a little really does go a long way with, but as you can imagine it’s not the neatest product. In fact, I’ve never used anything quite so messy and it’s definitely not a product that you can just quickly use at the sink. This requires a full on lock down shower where you clean up immediately, before everything you have ever loved becomes covered. It’s a little difficult to ensure you’ve fully washed it off everywhere too, but you soon get used to it and learn to be a lot more thorough.
As you can imagine, TeaFace is not tested on animals and it is rather fresh, meaning that once you open it, it must be kept in the fridge, where it’ll stay fresh for up to 1 year. Although the messiness of the product was a little off putting, and I found it difficult to leave on my skin for more than a couple minutes, it has made my skin feel ridiculously soft and look amazing. I straight away started using it all over where a small layer of oil was left on my skin, meaning that I didn’t need to use a moisturiser. A big thumbs up from me, as I’m rather lazy. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone who is a fan of tea and doesn’t mind a messy shower!
