Urban Decay Alice Through The Looking Glass Collection
When I saw pretty much everyone buying this palette I was mega jealous as it’s so utterly beautiful. I never jump at things until I see someone I trust verify how good it is, but in this case there were really conflicting reviews. I’m so pleased that I managed to get my hands on one after a Lunch with Urban Decay. There’s nothing quite as magical as a stunning new palette and lipsticks over a katsu curry.
If you follow me on Snapchat (georginagrogan) you’ll see that I’ve really been trying this palette out with different looks, some nude, some more out there and bold. I’ve really tried to get a complete feel for it and thankfully I ended up really loving it. In the beginning I found the colours to not be as pigmented as I wanted, wear off easily and not blend as well. Maybe I was trying too hard as the more I used it, the easier it got and the results ended up being beautiful. I don’t normally go too out there with my eye makeup, glitter sure but colours not so much. So the below look was something that I wanted to do to really test the colours, their blend-ability, their pigment and their staying power.
Obviously shimmery colours usually do blend together as the day goes on, but the bright colours pretty much stayed in place hours later. These are 20 brand new shades which are arranged in columns by the characters they represent.
Looking Glass – pale pink semi-matte
Reflection – peach matte
Dormouse – warm brown matte with gold sparkles
Metamorphosis – bright blue with green sparkles
Hatter – bright green with green sparkles
Gone Mad – dark purple with pink and purple glitter
Paradox – shimmery orange
Cake – shimmery pink with purple undertone
Lily – pink pearly shimmer
Duchess – shimmy peach with pink undertone
Kingdom – shimmery copper
Chessboard – matte medium brown
Heads Will Roll – bright turquoise with gold sparkle
Bandersnatch – dark teal matte
Salazen Grum – shimmery crimson
Royal Flush – light cream shimmer
Time – Dark navy with light blue glitter
Dream On – overlay glitter (not much pigment)
Chronosphere – dark brown glitter
Mirror – grey with purple underlay
Mad Hatter – Metallized
Time – Metallized
Iracebeth – Comfort Matte
Mirana – Metallized
Alice – Sheer Shimmer
How beautiful are the lipsticks!? Obviously there’s not much to Alice but depending on your skin tone it’s going to look really dreamy.
