Christmas is definitely one of my favourite times of the year, it’s close between that and Halloween. It’s colder, cosier, comfier clothes, great day time naps, Christmas Markets, loads of food, what’s not to love!? But the best thing about Christmas for me is giving. There’s something about Christmas that just makes me full of love, I always take cash out when I head into town to give to the homeless, I buy way more than I should for my family, and I love spending time with friends and family more during the Christmas period than ever. This year I’m working with Boots on their secret santa campaign to share the love by gifting another blogger some very thoughtfully picked gifts (some of my personal favourites!) and I even get to give this mystery gift (worth £100) to one of you lucky people too! Once the giveaway has ended the big reveal of this secret gift will be on Instagram.
During the winter months I write down basically anything my friends and family say, passing comments that they think I didn’t take notice of, or just things that they point out they like during conversations. I’ll start buying things really early on and start hiding them (my mum is really bad for snooping!) Every since I started my first job and had my own money, I’ve been a Christmas Angel in this house, or a Christmas Fairy and some years I’ve done the shopping for everyone to the rest of the family. I love surprising my loved ones, spoiling them, making them laugh with gifts, and generally just showing how much I love them.
This doesn’t always have to be done with material things or expensive things, a couple Christmases ago I actually bought my brother a set of Nerf Guns for us all to play with and we had the most amazing day, and months and months after that of family fun and Nerf wars around the house. This year though it’s actually been me who has received the most thoughtful gift, my little Anya. If you follow me on social media you will have seen all about my kitten, but if not, after years of asking and hinting, my mum finally gave in and bought me the most perfect and beautiful kitten. It was for my birthday but as we’re talking about thoughtful gifts, I just had to mention her. You see with my chronic pain and chronic fatigue, I’ve not been great these past few months/years, and everything has got progressively worse, including my depression. Anya isn’t just the perfect gift, she’s actually really helping my mental health, for me to be (slightly and very carefully) more active. She fills my day with cuddles, and fun play times, instead of me just having week long pity parties with constant flare ups. I don’t go out a lot anymore, once a week on a good week, once every few weeks if not, so having something as fun, cute, and lively in the house is making it not boring anymore. Plus it’s a lot funner having a kitten play with you when you’re stuck in bed with a flare up.
I love the idea of this campaign, and I love it even more that one of you will also be receiving the lovely MYSTERY gifts I have sent to a fellow blogger. The Boots Christmas range is always amazing and I love how many incredible and diverse Christmas gifts for her there are, I always choose Boots at Christmas and I’m so excited to see what my secret santa gift is too!
Please enter the rafflecopter below for a chance to win this MYSTERY gift worth £100.
The giveaway closes on the 3rd of December. A winner will be selected and contacted by Boots after the closing date. UK only, must be 16 years or over.
