Staying Safe in the Sun with Zo Skin Health

I’ve never been one to consider SPF on my face a huge issue but now that I’m 20 and my knowledge on the beauty World is growing by the day, I know I’ve been a little stupid. Which is why I was so keen to try this Sun Smart kit from Zo Skin Health, well, it’s not really a kit, it’s just two products that work together to protect your skin. The Ossential Daily Power Defence and Oclipse Suncreen Primer with a SPF 30 work together to provide anti-ageing effects and offer protection from the sun and it’s harmful consequences of being in the sun for too long. They also offer protection against environmental pollution and irritants.

Staying Safe in the Sun with Zo Skin Health

My favourite of the two is definitely the OSSENTIAL® DAILY POWER DEFENSE as it contains retinol, enzymes and antioxidants to help repair any damaged cells and protect against future damage too. It also works by encouraging cellular activity to encourage the skin to rejuvenate. Which will help with elasticity in the skin, this is what helps stop wrinkles and can even help improve an uneven skintone. As fancy as it sounds with its ingredients to restore and aid the skin, I just love it under makeup as it’s a super light moisturiser that keeps your skin feeling soft and helps makeup to glide on wonderfully.

I was really excited to try the OCLIPSE® SUNSCREEN + PRIMER SPF 30 as I haven’t tried a product that is a specific SPF on my face before, nor have I tried one which is a primer too. I was really suprosed with the formula and although it smells like Veet Hair Removal (fish and other unpleasant smells) it works incredibly well. I haven’t burnt at all and I’ve been thoroughly protected. It uses titanium dioxide and zinc oxide which are two physical sunscreens so that it provides full UV protection. It has a slight pink tint and a matte finish to help makeup glide on.It’s pretty much like the consistency of Benefit Porefessional or Smashbox Primers as it has that real velvet feel to it. It’s even been named as the #1 best suncream by the ‘Online Beauty Authority’. Simply because it does everything you’d want, provides protection, is a makeup primer, stops that white look from most suncreams whilst making you actually want to use it! It even features natural Melanin which will help to smooth the skin and minimise the signs of fine lines. You only need 2-3 pumps too!

Along with testing these SPF products, I’ve also been testing out this super handy UV Indicator Wristband! This band cleverly tells you when you’ve been in the sun too long and need a top up of cream. I am so impressed by this but I just haven’t been in the Sun long enough to see if it actually works. But if you do have kids, or can be a little forgetful when out in the Sun, it’s a must have.
Have you found any handy products to help whilst in the Sun?
