I know I’ve been a little quiet but there’s a really good reason behind it….. I’m starting a new online magazine! I can probably predict what you’re thinking, ‘but you constantly complain about how much in pain you are, how can you possibly have time?’ Well mostly ladies and the odd gentleman, the Good Pain Day GG decided to make all these big plans and now the Bad Pain Day GG is just getting on with it!
I joke (it’s a bad pain day whilst I’m writing this.) I’m actually beyond excited and ridiculously happy that I’m finally doing this. It has been an idea of mine for a couple years, which was a scary thought when my mum and I worked that out! YEARS. I’ve waited over 2 years to make this happen because I was scared of what people would think, I didn’t think anyone would support me, and obviously having chronic pain hasn’t encouraged me, but it’s happening.
She Might Be, obviously staying in brand, will be launching on Wednesday 14th September! What time? Your guess is as good as mine but it’s happening! I have an actual team of writers, I have tonnes of people submitting ideas for articles, brands are offering call ins, and brands are even sponsoring it. They actually believe in me and this crazy idea enough to put money into it, another mad thought and to be honest, I think it’s going to be amazing. Gatsbylady, a company I absolutely adore, are actually our main sponsors! Lots of love to them.
She Might Be will be a completely body positive space with plus size fashion, everything beauty from makeup looks to the latest products out and general life chats like relationships and wellbeing. Other than accessories, the only fashion will be plus size, and I’ve done this because obviously I’m plus size, and straight size people have enough fashion resources. However, everyone is welcome to pitch and write about life and everything beauty. I also love the name as although it’s in brand, it’s also quite ambiguous. She Might Be whatever she wants to be, people can think of the name whatever they want, and hopefully it’ll always be in a positive and uplifting way.
The support already has been amazing but I would LOVE for my regular readers to also become readers of She Might Be! Obviously the website isn’t live yet but please head over to social media and like/follow? Also, feel free to pitch via the email below!
