It’s not an exaggeration at all to say that plus size brands in the UK are so behind the ones in the US. Most are using fat-shaming memes on their social media, and constantly using hardly plus sized models to advertise their clothing, it really is quite a sad scene in the UK. I can only name a handful of brands that I fully support and Gatsbylady is at the top of that list. Gatsbylady is a brand that have seriously exceeded my expectations in every way they ever could. They specialise in the most incredible quality, handmade gatsby inspired dresses that really do have that wow factor. When I first tried out one of their dresses I was astonished over the attention to detail, for several reasons. Usually when a brand caters for straight sizes as well as plus, they do tend to care a little less for the plus sizes…

I did try to take my photos out in my usual spot on the decking but with the frosty mornings, it’s definitely a health and safety risk to wear heels up there. So my mid-January fashion post has Christmas themed photos, well apart from this beautiful Studio 8 dress as I managed to get some awesome photos on Ryan’s new iPhone 7 whilst in York. I loved the photos so much that I also bought the phone! Hopefully it means my photos from out and about will be this beautiful, but it does require sunlight, something which Sheffield is seriously lacking lately. Anyway, this Studio 8 Dress is from House of Fraser Party Outfits section. This is the Viola Dress at £72.25 reduced from £120 and it’s so beautiful. Incredible quality, a great fit in a 22 but the only problem I had was it being a tad too high necked…

This is both a happy and sad post, which sounds an odd way to describe a fashion post but as most of you know Collectif only stock up to a size 22. I am now a 22. Do you see where this is heading? Tissues ready. I can now only fit in some size 22 designs at Collectif thanks to chronic pain and weight gain. However, I can now be the handy person that can tell you what styles accommodate a proper size 22 and which don’t, silver lining I’d say! I’m a little late to this season but if you’re a straight size reader these styles are still in stock and if not, you’ll have some pretty good tips on sizing for the next styles or if there’s a restock. Vintage Nina Brocade Velvet Rose Swing Dress – £96 now £46 Actual love heart eyes when I saw this dress…

There has been so much lingerie coming through my door the past few weeks and it’s all been glorious. Working at home means I banish bras unless I’m having someone come over or obviously going out, but now I have so many amazing bras that I actually want to wear! My favourite of them all has to be the Elomi Bijou Longline. I have wanted a decent longline bra forever now. I constantly look and I am always left disappointed when they finish at a 38 back. Even though I technically am a 38 back, they really hurt me after a while. Not because it’s the wrong size but because of how I walk different with my chronic pain, especially when I’m in a lot of pain. So I’ve started wearing 40 backs and they’ve been fantastic. I love everything about the Elomi Longline, the colour, the style, the detail and the…

It wasn’t intentional, but all of these outfits have the tones and feel of an Autumn wardrobe, so let’s call it that. Really I’m just showing you all the latest clothes I’ve picked up and telling you if I love them or not, because let’s face it my reviews are rarely ever 100% positive. Emmy  Let’s start with a new brand to me, Emmy. This is a Swedish brand who showcased their beautiful vintage designed clothes at Curve Fashion Festival, I was constantly staring at their stand so I was super excited when they asked if I wanted to review some pieces. They are indeed as beautiful as they looked, with incredible quality and very beautiful designs, it was love at first sight. The Drop Dead Gorgeous Dress in petroleum is definitely my favourite and not only because I look super cute in it. But also because I couldn’t actually…
