Sculptresse Bras from Panache

The other week I witnessed a terrible bra fitting service right in front of my eyes, I won’t name the brand, but thankfully I have read and know enough a bout bras to know that it was dreadfully wrong.
Not only did it make me appreciate the amount of correct information there is now, but it also made me grateful that I have been sized correctly and can shop for bras in the comfort of my own home. Panache are a fantastic website where they stock seven unique brands that are suited for a D+ cup and they even offer advice on what you need to check for that perfect fit. I was contacted by them to try out two bras from the Sculptresse collection and my first choice was the Purple Lace Bra*. An underwired, non-padded, everyday bra that is undetectable under clothes. With it being non padded, it means that my boobs took on a more natural shape and were a little more relaxed than I normally prefer, giving me little to no cleavage. A perfect bra for just around the house, but it’s nothing that I’d wear to wow, despite lace being my favourite. The 40FF fit near enough perfectly, however, the lack of padding meant that my boobs could have done with a little more support in places to take on a better shape. The matching knickers fit wonderfully and feel amazingly comfortable. I always size up to a 22 in knickers as I like them to cover my tummy and bum more, I find that anything high waisted looks a lot more flattering on my shape anyway.

The second bra Panache gifted me is the Sculptresse Flirtini bra* in a 40FF, which is apparently a ‘Designer Favourite’. Described as a balconnet bra that is also underwired and non-padded. In an adorable polka dot pattern and lace edging, there’s no doubt that it’s a cute set. However, the same problem applied for me, my boobs need a little more discipline and direction in their life. If you are looking for soft, non-padded bras then these two are definitely for you. They give a soft and natural look to your boobs, and the Flirtini even gives me a slight Madonna point. Perfect for days where an over the top cleavage isn’t needed, or if you just want to be supported comfortably. Again the size 22 knickers are so lovely, with a lace trim and polka dot print, they make me feel awfully pretty and ready for the day.

It seems like the DD and over world is slowly being dominated by soft, unpadded or lightly padded bras and my boobs just cannot cope. I long for a good padded bra that let my boobs unleash their full potential and although the bras weren’t necessarily something I would shout about, I’ve definitely enjoyed wearing them and feeling good whilst I do so.

  • I have been looking at bras from Panache and debating on them! I’m no FF but my size tends to be hard to find. And I could definitely do without the uncomfortable padding in Victoria’s Secret bras.

I hate looking for bras in my size usually they’re just plain and boring.
I don’t get bra’s that are D cup+ that don’t have under wire or padding, big boobs need the support.
Also the super thin straps they have, no one has time for that, especially not my heavy boobage.

  • Ooh these are so pretty – especially love the navy and polka dots of the second one! I’ve got to agree with you (as a fellow large busted lady – 28GG over here!), that I prefer a bit of padding or moulding, although I don’t necessarily find bras without lack support, I just think they look better on me personally, but the soft cup ones tend to have prettier designs! But it is nice to see that the DD+ world is expanding 🙂

  • I love the Sculptresse range by Panache! I’ve been after the pure lace in purple for a while now and will definitely be heading their way after reading your review!

  • Hmm, this is pretty helpful. It’s so hard finding pretty bras for DD and up. I have too many in nude and black.

Have you ever tried this method for bra measuring?

It has literally saved my boobies’ lives.
