A couple of weeks ago I wrote about all the Skincare I’ve Used on My Oily Skin This Winter, and so today I wanted to share some recommendations for dry skin types. These could also be great products if you just get that odd dry patch or day occasionally. I know every few weeks I’ll have tonnes of dry patches for a few days, and then I’ll return to my oily self. Usually it depends on the weather, or what I’ve been doing/using.
One of my favourites is the Scienea SuperBerry Repair & Restore Face Serum at £30.00. It is made with 11 natural ingredients including vitamins, essential oils and antioxidants. The reason I like this so much is that it’s really good on dry, sometimes sore patches. It doesn’t leave an oil slab on my skin, but I still get the results that I want. It has a subtle yet pleasant smell. I tend to use this more at night, unless my skin is particularly dry during the day. It can be used on any skin type and I definitely think this is a serum to try! My friend came around over the weekend and said about dry patches, so I sent him home with this to try out and overnight he noticed a difference. How awesome is that?
I’ve been a fan of Skin Chemists for quite a few years now and I was so delighted when I saw they wanted to send out some new products! I last used this brand years ago and my mum actually became obsessed with their products. Normally she changes products so much that nothing actually is ever emptied, but these were an exception! My mum has already had the Advanced Snail Duo Moisturiser 50ml at £114.90, for a few weeks now. It’s clearly inspired by Korean skincare which has been more popular than ever in 2017. This is super moisturising and so lovely to use. But my favourite is definitely the Rose Quartz Hydrating & Illuminating Day Moisturiser 50ml for £89.00. It’s the cheaper of the two but I just adore the smell and feel of this moisturiser. I’ve used it under my makeup many times and it’s been a perfect base.
I’m such a huge fan of Jurlique skincare and I love trying their new things. These sheet masks are so utterly beautiful, they have concentrated ingredients that help the signs of fine lines and wrinkles. You only need to wear it for 10-15 minutes and the smell alone is so relaxing. My mum decided to come help me in the office the other week and then proceeded to lay down with one of these on, she’s such a hard worker!
Purepotions is a really impressive range for many reasons. It’s a completely natural range that was created to help soothe the dry and allergy-prone skin of the founder’s daughter. All the problems are created to soothe, cool, and calm irritated skin. It’s so natural and amazing on sensitive skin that it can even be used on babies. The Skin Salvation Daily Moisturising Cream at £13.99 has even won an International Beauty Award for best eczema range in natural health! This is the cream version of the Skin Salvation Moisturising Ointment at £12.99. I sent the Ointment to a friend as she said about how good it sounded and it was so helpful for her sore hands. It immediately gave relief and unlike other creams that burn on broken skin, this just soothed from the first touch. It’s the perfect range for super sensitive skin.
