Products That Have Failed To Impress
Believe me when I say I really struggled with this post. When you have so many just ‘meh’ products sitting about, it’s very uninspiring. Nothing in this post has blown my mind away with how great it is. Nothing has wowed, impressed or even made me want to use it more than what I had to, to gain an opinion on it. These aren’t necessarily BAD products or disappointing, they’re just mediocre, average, does what it says on the tin but they don’t excel at all.
Obviously this isn’t going to be a lengthy post as I don’t have much to say about these products, hence the ‘meh’!
£20 for an eyeliner that’s as good as a £3 one but this one frays after a couple uses? Need I say more?
FAB Eyeliner with Lash Growth Treatment, £25
An eyeliner that doesn’t work on an angle because the product doesn’t reach the tip. Also an unnecessary combination, I like my lash growth products separate to my makeup. Double fail.
FAB Brows, £20
All packaging, hardly any product and the brush that comes with it is terrible. £20 for a brow product can actually get you a long way now, this is not the way I’ll be heading forward though.
Cargo Matte Top Coat, $22
It’s a real waste of time when I’m sent colours that I would never wear. The lipstick shade was all wrong but the matte top coat was more wrong. It doesn’t actually work very well at all, it drags the lipstick making it more sheer in places and won’t work after a while because there’s too much lipstick ‘blocking’ the matte. I’ve heard about great products at Cargo so I really want to try more, but these just weren’t for me at all.
The first of the Makeup Revolution palettes that I found really did not blend as well as usual! Very odd.
Firstly I am VERY happy that Joan Collins’ Range listened to customers and that there wasn’t a pale enough shade and delivered in a timely fashion, but, it just doesn’t make the foundation good. It’s very sheer, very easily moved and depending on how you apply it, you can see brush strokes/lines.
I had a bundle of products from NEW CID, but I was sent the completely wrong colours or duplicates of things I already have featured, so I couldn’t feature them again. I will point out that the i – glow Mini has nothing wrong with it at all, it’s a bit pricey at £16, but overall it’s a shimmer blush that works.
However, the i – flutter gives a very underwhelming performance. With a cheap looking brush and very little structure, it doesn’t do much at all for £19.
This will shortly be followed by products that have wowed me and that I can’t stop using!
What products have you come across lately that have been unimpressive?
