I really have a love-hate relationship with Pink Clove. Most things come across as completely not my style, or a style I’d ever want to try, and then a couple times a year I’ll see that must have item. You all know me by now, I don’t bullshit and I honestly found two of these dresses the worse in design I’ve ever seen for plus women, but of course my taste isn’t the same as everyone else’s and I know that.
Starting off on a positive I actually love this Longline Bomber Jacket, which I can no longer find on the website – great start! If it comes back in stock it’s £24 and I got it in a size 22 which was a perfect fit, I’m between a 20 and 22, but mostly wearing a 22 now so I’d say if you’re inbetween sizes to go up, if not, stick to your size.
The Kristy Strappy Skater Dress is just vile on me. I’m a typical fat person with a fat neck so having something that feels like I’m being strangled just isn’t enjoyable at all. I also asked for this in a size 22 but as you can see it’s above my knee and I’m only 5’3, it’s a hard pass from me, unless you’re the smaller size of fat with a great neck.
The Olivia Long Sleeve Wrap Dress actually really surprised me, after trying on the Kristy and Joss Swing Dress, I really did not have high hopes but I’m always happy to be surprised. I love the colour, fit, style, I’d love it to be a little longer but then I think I’d live in it for Autumn/Winter. The material is so lightweight yet there’s no see through bother. Paired with the Longline Bomber I felt so chic!
Finally, the Kira Belted Duster Coat that I completely adore! I asked for this in a 20 as I didn’t want it to be too long on my arms, and on the website it looks more like a statement coat that for actual warmth, but it feels so cosy on, it just doesn’t close properly. For only £20 it’s a total steal and definitely something I’d recommend anyone adding to their AW wardrobe.
