Buying Christmas presents at last minute doesn’t always have to be a bad thing. It can mean that you catch the sales, or that there’s not enough time for people to go snooping and ruin their presents. It’s the men of my house that I find the hardest to buy for and normally I’m still looking for things up to Christmas Eve! That’s why I’ve left this guide until now so I can help with the last minute shopping.   Grooming Male grooming has seriously been on the rise in 2016, with more and more men trying the beard life, it means that there’s some awesome brands to choose from. Your local Boots, Sainsburys, Waitrose and Tkmaxx might stock The Real Shaving Co. and they’re such a delight. Alfie has been using this brand most of the year and he adores their facial scrub (so do I!) This brand is extremely…

The Body Shop Advent Calendar is now live and as part of it I have been sent two different skincare sets to try out and tell you all about them! Whilst talking to The Body Shop at a recent Sheffield Bloggers Events I mentioned that two sets had arrived that morning and one of the women was so excited to tell me about the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask as you can no longer buy it on its own, just in sets and it’s an amazing mask that I needed to try out. Obviously after hearing how excited the woman was about it, I just couldn’t wait to try it myself and put it on that night when we got home. Immediately I knew that the Himalayan Charcoal mask would be my new favourite and indeed it has become just that. The Finest Facial Mask Duo at £25.00 is the perfect set to try out two…

This is another one of those posts where GG just isn’t impressed. By now I’m meant to have glorious, unblemished skin, but that just isn’t the case. Although I loved the Frezyderm sunscreen (read the post here) and primer, their acne face wash and moisturiser really didn’t do anything for me at all. Similarly a ‘ph balanced’ range called Sebamed didn’t really scare my spots off either. The treatment toner was fantastic at keeping my oily skin slightly more in control (as I am seriously oily) but the rest of the range did nothing. Obviously you all know by now that just because something didn’t work for me, it doesn’t mean it won’t work for you, it just means I’ll have some suggestions on better products to start with. I’ve been trying these products out over the course of a couple months so I’ve really been able to see what’s…

Probably the best project to finish off the year, I have curated a beauty box! The lovely people at All Boxed Up got in touch in October and it was action stations to get all my favourite picks into the box and ready for Christmas. One thing that immediately came to mind is that I want the box to be completely cruelty free. I unfortunately don’t personally only use cruelty free products (MAC Diva is my life) but I have many friends who do and I didn’t want them not to be able to get the box because of it. Normally beauty boxes have around 4/5 high end products in them, but if you know me well you’ll know that I’m really not about the high end life. Sure sometimes I review high end things, but I always say I’d never actually buy them myself and that’s always because I know…
