Blogging is a blast when you spend over an hour writing a post, that you really like, for the browser to freeze and you lose the post completely. Ugh. Take two! I’ve been struggling a lot lately, it’s no secret. My chronic pain is constantly flaring up, I’m cancelling my life, forcing myself to go to the odd blogging event, and only really leaving the house when it’s an appointment to try and help my pain. Which means I’ve been seriously down, so in an attempt to cheer myself up I’ve been buying myself lots of pretty things. Not that it makes any sense to buy lots of makeup when you rarely go out to wear it, but at least when I do have the…

This post is called ‘hot or not’ but really it should be, ‘hot, mehs, and nots’ in the beauty world because not all of these are terrible, some just aren’t very good. If you’ve seen my face you’ll know that I love makeup, and I know how to apply it which is why I love reviewing makeup. Let’s get the negatives out of the way first with this jumbo Lola Duo Kajal & Eyeliner at £21. I’m not very good at sugarcoating so I’ll just say it, it’s unnecessary. If I wanted to apply my eyeliner with a severe lack of precision I’d dip my finger into a pot of black eyeliner and just smear it on. It’s incredibly difficult to get a decent look…

Don’t be fooled by the title, I may currently love these products but it doesn’t mean that they’re all perfect… Antipodes I’m a huge fan of Antipodes and I have been for years now. My favourite product is the Manuka Honey Face Mask so when I got an email about more Manuka Honey products, I jumped at the chance to try them out. Of course, they’re absolutely amazing. The Manuka Honey Skin-Brightening Light Day Cream (£43) may seem expensive but I am seriously obsessed. I actually put this on most nights as I find the honey helps to calm my skin and minimise, if not completely stop, any break outs. My pillow smells good enough to eat! The ingredients also include kiwi, bee venom and Vinanza® grape, which…

I’ve been struggling a lot lately, not so much with work or She Might Be Magazine, because both of them are thankfully on fire, but with how I present myself. Or rather, how I haven’t been this well dressed/pressed all month. It’s been a slow start to the year for me, I seem to be having constant chronic pain flare ups, but I’m hoping this incredibly bright and bold outfit might make up for it. I mean I look like a walking happy rainbow, but I’m really feeling it. Plus with the amount of compliments I got at The Blog Squad event (where I did a talk on Working With Brands) it turns out bright is quite the hit! As soon as this Curves Yellow Floral…

After taking a very long break from events, seeing the word ‘Disney’ in my inbox was enough to make me want to travel again! ORGANIC invited my mum and I to a cooking event to celebrate the release of Disney’s Moana on DVD & Bluray. I had already seen and completely fallen in love with everything about Moana, but my mum is a little behind on the latest Disney films so I couldn’t resist buying it on Amazon for her to watch before the event. It’s safe to say she’s now a huge fan too, and after some recent dizzy spells, my mum hilariously announced that she relates to HeiHei, the chicken, a lot. You really have to know the film to get that reference, and…
