I’ve been seeing this around a lot lately and thought it was a brilliant way to stay up-to-date with new beauty products and try things I normally wouldn’t even think of! For £10 a month (Plus P&P) you’re sent several different items, some full size and others just samples of products. I knew the box was worth it when I read the list of things inside. Most people have decided to individually review all the items inside, but I thought I would get it all done in one post with my initial thoughts and after wearing them for a while. The first product is a French cream called Blanc Cachemire that retails at £54.75 for a full size pot. This is only a sample bottle (the white cream on my hand) and it very luxurious. It has a very subtle pleasant smell, I can’t quite pinpoint it. The texture of…

Ultrabland is a facial cleanser, but it is also the best makeup remover I have ever used. It’s the only product that fully takes my mascara off without taking a couple of eyelashes out with it. It’s made up of only ten ingredients and they are, Almond Oil, Rose Water, Beeswax, Honey, Fresh Iris Extract, Glycerine, Rose Absolute, Tincture of Benzoin, Methylparaben, Propylparaben. Which makes it a very waxy consistency that cuts through all types of makeup and lifts them. I used this after my Dior Double Flick post which meant I had a lot of makeup on, but that made no difference to Ultrabland as it still worked magic and took everything off in no time! Picture 1 shoes what Ultrabland looks like, a yellow wax. Picture 2 shows how much I used for a lot of makeup, usually it wouldn’t even take that much. Picture 3 is after I’ve worked it into my eyebrow, as you can…

I tend to use face masks several times a week, sometimes every single day. I really like to over pamper myself. ALL of the facemasks I use are from Lush as they have the purest ingredients that you can recognise and a lot of the time, eat! Love Lettuce, is a brilliant face mask with a very gentle, yet can be a quite intense exfoliation of almond shells. It also contains ‘Fullers Earth’ which is a clay that helps remove oil from your face, this is greatly needed on my nose as lately it’s been like an oil rig! Attractive, I know. I like to put a little bit on at a time and work it in, scrubbing my skin as I go along. Like most face masks it’s left for about 20 minutes and then again I’ll really go to town scrubbing my face whilst taking it off. It has a…

The name for this mascara really is a complete lie, to put it bluntly. When you see the photo of the brush, you’d think it’d be bigger and more structured. But of course it’s probably the most cheap looking product I have ever used. I only bought it as Maybelline had a buy one get one half price offer on and I wanted some Dream Mousse to wear in the house. I definitely regret buying it. The mascara itself is a very light mixture, and although the picture may not look bad, that’s after curling the lashes, applying several layers and then blow drying my lashes upwards whilst still applying it. (Top tip from me, it works every time). I definitely won’t be repurchasing as it takes hundreds of layers to separate the lashes, relatively evenly. It coats some more than others, and has a very tiny brush in a…

Now for years I’ve convinced myself that I’m not a lipstick person and that it doesn’t suit me at all. But when I started working at Lush, I found the Emotional Brilliance range. For those who haven’t seen this magical invention, it’s basically a big colourful wheel where the colours have been linked up to lots of different words to represent them. Basically it’s meant to be if you’re wearing the colour Confident, you’ll feel more confident. It’s really empowering. The colours can be used as anything, lip, cheek, eye shadow, eye liner, mascara and even face paint if you really want. Some people often wear them in the hair as well, and they just wash out like a temporary dye. It’s seriously like the God of all make-up and they’re only £14.50 each, most of mine have lasted over 9 months now! In my Everything Lush post I listed…
