I can honestly say that as soon as these Nip + Fab Dragon’s Blood Fix Cleansing Pads (gosh, that’s a long name) run out, I will actually be straight out to buy more. I remember cleansing pads when they first came out absolutely years ago, by a brand I will not mention, and they used to sting my face so much and basically do nothing except from aggravate my skin. For this reason, I’ve stayed away from them for years, I’ve just assumed that other things must be better. However, after working my way through 3/4 of a pot and using them on my worst skin days to my best and they’ve done nothing but impress me. Sure, ‘Dragon’s Blood’ doesn’t sound the most appealing, but it’s not what you think at all. Dragon’s Blood is actually ‘derived from the fruit of certain palm trees and from the stem of Dragon Tree’. It’s amazing for the skin as it ‘forms a protective film on skin to protect against environmental aggressors’, teamed along with Hyaluronic and Salicylic acids means that your face gets the true pamper it deserves. These acids deeply cleanse and moisturise the surface of your skin and allow the next product to sink in deeper and therefore, work better. It also contains witch hazel that helps reduce any imperfections. At just £9.99 for 60 pads, I cannot stress enough how much you need to try these. They leave a beautifully moisturising film on top of your skin that sinks right in and leaves your skin feeling and looking flawless.
Next up in this little routine is the Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum at £19.95 really is luxurious. It’s a thick, creamy consistency that sinks into your skin within minutes leaving it feeling beautifully soft. It also contains Hyaluronic acid to hydrate and refine your skin’s texture. As well as velvet flower that illuminates the skin and Gransil EP-9 which takes away and absorbs any excess oils whilst smoothing the skin. I have been using this every night for a couple weeks now and there’s been a massive difference in my skin. I’ve noticed it is a lot more balanced and well behaved which is an amazing change compared to my usual temperamental skin.
Unfortunately, the love couldn’t continue onto the last product, the Plumping Mask really wasn’t to my taste at all. It was a similar consistency to the serum, except sticky, thicker and generally quite unpleasant. You can apparently leave it on overnight for a intense face mask, which I did try, but I wanted nothing more than to just wash it off as I kept sticking to my pillow. With the ingredients inside including Salicylic and Hyaluronic acid again, TEGO Cosmo C 250 and Glycerine, I can imagine why it would work. I just haven’t enjoyed it enough to continue using it. However 2/3 is definitely a win for Nip + Fab and I really do love the idea, branding and products from this company. I look forward to trying more!
