I hope you’re all enjoying #30DaysofSMBL but rest assured that there will still be my usual constant and today I’m going to tell you all about the latest beauty box to hit the scene.
Little Known Box. Before you go thinking that this is just another box of high end samples which you’ll never be able to afford the full sizes (literally every box I’ve had) this one is a little different. Instead with Little Known Box you’ll be finding out all about the smaller, upcoming and niche brands. How cool is that?
I’m so bored of beauty boxes and I have been for a very long time, but finally, I think I could start to actually enjoy a box and subscribe myself. All the brands are ‘chosen with ethics and wellness in mind’ meaning you won’t have to question your morals when you open up a box! They’ll range between haircare, skincare, makeup, nail products and more.
The monthly subscription price is £14.95 but like most boxes, the more you buy upfront the more you save. In the first ever box there was:
- Thumbs up Designer Nail Wraps – £7.99
I’m personally not a fan of nail wraps but they seem super popular.
- Flint + Flint Moisturiser 3x – £42.00
I was quite shocked at the price of this as it doesn’t necessarily look like a £42 moisturiser? Is that weird to say? But it certainly feels like one. It’s super moisturising and then it sinks it really fast and doesn’t leave behind an oil slick.
- Medusa’s Makeup Lip Gloss in Bite Me – £6.25
Again it’s not something that’s for me as it’s a lip gloss, quite sticky but the pigment is amazing.
- The Vintage Cosmetics Company Rose Gold Eyelash Curlers – £7.00
Not necessarily a small brand in my eyes but a girl can never have too many lash curlers!
- Dirtea Tea Scrub, single bag worth £2.15
I love this! I’m actually saving it for my holiday stash as little sample sized products like this of products I just know I’ll love are perfection.
The actual total of the box is just over £65, so you more than make your money up. Even with my personal preferences, with the moisturiser alone I would have made my money back on the box! Obviously without the moisturiser the box wouldn’t really wow, but I’m sure this is what they’re going to aim to do every month, have one or two products that really steal the show – well, I hope they do anyway!
I look forward to hearing and seeing more from Little Known Box!
