A New Rebrand for Impulse and other New Bodycare You Should Check Out!

Impulse Body Mists came everywhere with me when I was a teenager, I was the go to person to ask when you needed a spray and I pretty much remember having every single scent at one point or another. Which is why I couldn’t resist saying yes to trying the newly rebranded versions, teenage GG is most impressed with these fancy and very modern bottles. But she’s a little confused over the names… I mean, I get trying to be relevant or quirky, but Tropical Beach + Espresso? Marshmallow + Leather Jacket? I can’t be the only person who’s never wanted to smell like a leather jacket? It’s a very strange concept and I can’t say I get it or love it. Unfortunately the scent themselves are as strange as their names and they’re definitely not something I’d ever wear as they’re rather strong compared to the old mists that wear off after a while. They’re both more expensive too at £6.99 but you get a lot more and better packaging.

Impulse, bodycare

There hasn’t been much that I’ve loved from the Joan Collins range, but they seriously know how to make a scrub! This is a Dry Oil Body Polish, so if you’re looking for something light for everyday use, look away. It’s seriously rough meaning you get such a good buff of your skin. I use this every few weeks with more daily friendly ones in between. You do need to have wet skin to use this, and maybe mix it in with something else until you get used to it. It’s a huge 300g glass pot at £16.

I do love a multi-purpose oil and this Pure Jojoba Oil from Sanatio Naturalis is perfect. It’s a non-greasy, luxurious yet lightweight oil that can be used on your body, in your hair, or on your face. I prefer this as a massage oil as it sinks right into your skin and doesn’t leave a sticky texture. Jojoba is such a beautiful oil and you can get a bottle of this for £20.

I cannot get enough of Leighton Denny Expert Nail Polishes! I love the colours they have, the quality, that they don’t chip, and just generally how good they are. At £12 each you’d expect good quality and they don’t disappoint at all. I am constantly wearing these now and I’ve finally found my new favourite black! Before I was using Illamasqua but this one seems to go on more smoothly and quicker. I even featured their gift sets in a christmas gift guide!

The final two products in this post are both amazing. I love the Skinfood – Black Sugar Perfect Essential Scrub 2X. It smells like cola bottles and it’s been the scrub I’ve been using weekly! It has such an amazing feel on the skin, there’s enough moisture inside that a little goes a long way, but it doesn’t like you feeling like you need to wash off the excess. I hate scrubs like that. It contains black sugar and refined rice. I was available at Boots but it seems to be gone now so check out the link above to buy it.

Lastly, the new Spaa Bergamot & Cassis Bath Salts from Superdrug at just £4.29! These bath salts have bergamot and marula oil making your mind relax and treating your skin at the same time. You only need a handful to get the desired treatment. Bath salts are my favourites for when I just want to relax in a steamy hot bath. They fill the air with beautiful smells and it’s truly a relaxing and calming experience. Plus, these are such a great price!
