After the excitement of not one, but two catwalks at the main Plus North event, I was asked if I wanted to do it again for MSSVG the very next day. Seen as my nerves were pretty much gone, I agreed straight away and was incredibly excited to see the dresses I would be modelling. I had already worked with MSSVG in the recent past, and it was so lovely to meet the woman behind it all, Monique. Monique is probably one of the friendliest people I have ever met and she was constantly smiling all weekend, which definitely made me smile. It was so lovely to catch up and put a face to her name. The last things I wore from MSSVG were two Zizzi Slogan T-shirts that I absolutely adored (you can read the full review here), so I was incredibly excited to be trying different things. The Sunday event consisted of workshops, so the catwalk had to be quick which meant my two dresses, sadly turned into just one. Although the Junarose Blue Wrap Dress is a beautiful dress and there’s no denying that, an absolutely gorgeous Junarose Black Lace Sleeve Dress, that had my name all over it, was sadly taken from the spotlight. Alas, I know a good dress when I get to twirl in one, so I’ve already snapped it up and it’s currently waiting for a day where I can manage to draw my eyebrows on.
The other models for MSSVG looked absolutely beautiful and the dresses were stunning. One of my favourites has to be the cream floral dress, complete with floaty arms. The Junarose Blue Wrap Dress I was wearing was an amazing quality at just £30, I felt like it came up a little big on me, but it was nothing a belt couldn’t fix. I didn’t want to put a belt on just incase I ruined the dress though, so the waist is a little lower to what I would usually wear. But I somehow feel that it makes me look a little taller?
Heels were not something I was going to consider for Sunday’s event though, which meant I ended up looking rather short compared to the other ladies, but still taller for me which I’m happy enough with.
After a slightly wild Saturday night, common sense or being organised were not something on the top of my capabilities list. I would have definitely styled this dress with tights, heels, and a good thick waist belt and probably some better shape wear. However, I rather liked how it was loosely fitting around my waist and the contrast against my hair colour really stood out. A brief, but lovely experiencing modelling from MSSVG and I already cannot wait to meet Monique again!
Seen as Monique is SO lovely, she’s given my readers and exclusive 30% off MSSVG code: Georginablog30.
What will you treat yourself to? Will it be this dress or the lace one? Let me know if you pick anything up!
