Mother’s Day Treats from Boots/Boots Haul.

Needing last minute inspiration for Mother’s Day? Look no further than your local Boots. I recently headed in and spent an absolute fortune, but I also gained a staggering amount of Boots points. I first headed off to Smashbox and I saw a friendly face, Steph, who I’ve served in Lush before, so I had a full tour of the ever growing Smashbox counter and was completely amazed. Last August for my Mum’s Birthday I rebought her entire makeup bag, and renewed her old and tired collection.

However, as I was buying so much I didn’t really splash out on many high end products, so that’s what I wanted to do for Mother’s Day. Smashbox has an offer on that if you buy 2 products, you’ll get £7.50 worth of points, how can one refuse? Smashbox also have premade boxes where you can pick a Primer, I choose Hydrating Under Eye Primer, which blurs out pores and wrinkles, and then there’ lots of different things included, like a mini Full Exposure Mascara, and in my local Boots, a couple Bumble and Bumble products were added. A thickening Shampoo, Conditioner and Hairspray and a hair oil. My Mum is always complaining about her thin hair, so I thought it was perfect. I also decided to add a mini Smashbox Camera Ready BB cream for it’s high SPF of 35. I know my Mum likes to sit in the garden a lot in Summer, so this set was now perfect. It cost me around £27 for the set without the BB cream and then just under £40 with it. Steph also added in a sample of their best selling Primer, and a favourite of mine, their Photo Finish Oil Free Primer. I also picked up their Definer Eyeshadow Brush at £19.50, as it was beautiful and I couldn’t help myself, this one is to share though (otherwise known as, mine).

Mother's Day Treats
Here’s a close up….
Mother's Day Treats
I was already over the moon with the new addition to my Mum’s Makeup bag but seen as I wanted to buy something for myself I ended up at Estee Lauder going through all the range, and having a little makeover, which I didn’t actually complain about, proud moment. (See my Beauty Counter Makeovers post to understand.) I ended up with Double Wear in Shell, I know I’ve done a post comparing it to MAC’s Studio Fix, but I didn’t try Shell, and it’s the most perfect colour for my skin tone ever, so I will definitely be updating that post. I was going to buy more from Estee Lauder, but the lady who was doing my makeup had the most incredible eyelashes, and said she uses a Mascara from Lancôme, so I headed over there next. It was the Hypnôse Drama Mascara at £22.50 and after seeing this lady’s eyelashes, I didn’t need to hear anymore about it, I had to have it. Lancôme also had an offer on that if you bought 2 things you’d get £7.50 worth of points, so I definitely wasn’t going to say no to that. I also bought a Velvet Matte Lip Colour in 493 Velours de Violine at £20.00. 2 days later and 4 showers/baths later, it’s still a very faint stain on my arm, needless to say I’m happy with it.Mother's Day TreatsAs well as gaining those points, Lancôme also had a offer on for a free gift when you spent so much (it looks like it’s in store only), so I received an amazing collection of Lancôme products which I’m also giving my Mum for Mother’s Day. Which included the
Gel Eclat Clarifying Cleanser Pearly Foam at £22.50
Hydra Zen NeuroCalm SPF 15 at £39.50 for 50ml (this was 15ml)
Hydra Zen Nuit NeuroCalm at £41 for 50ml (again 15ml)
New Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate at £59 for 30ml (7ml sample)
Juicy Tubes Lip Gloss Ultra Shiny at £16.50 (sample size)
Hypnôse Mascara at £22.50 (sample size)
La vie est belle Eau de Toilette Fragrance £49 for 50ml (sample size)
Hydra Zen Neurocalm EyeSoothing Gel Cream £32 for 15ml (5ml Sample)

Mother's Day Treats

I was incredibly pleased with the service I received at both of the counters, both ladies were beyond helpful and went the extra mile, they also spoilt me with samples which I’ve been posting on my Instagram page @GeorginaGrogan_, including Smashbox’s new nude palette, you have to see it to believe it.So if you’re looking for a last minute WOW gift for your Mum, head to boots and treat yourself at the same time!
