Plus North was probably one of the most exhilarating weekends I have ever had. Not only was it my first time attending Plus North, but I also decided to not let fear get the best of me, so I applied to also model at the event. I was already nervous about meeting so many beautiful and inspiring women and the nerves were definitely intensified when I found out that not only was I modelling for one of my all time favourites, Yours Clothing, I was also modelling for Simply Be! As soon as I saw my dress on a hanger in a single photo, I was a little scared as it wasn’t something that I would usually wear. My dress looked like it was complete sequins, short sleeves and a short, tight dress. However, this foxy little dress ended up having shoulder pads, which I absolutely go mad for, a low v neck (showing off my favourite assets) and it wasn’t as tight on as I feared. It was perfect for my size but just a little short. I wasn’t over the moon with it until I saw the video of the catwalk afterwards and now I think I’m going to have to buy it! As I started to strut my stuff down the catwalk, before gracefully slipping my shoe partially off but we won’t talk about that, the lights hit all the sequins in all the right places that made me feel absolutely amazing. Modelling in front of a group of like minded people who didn’t care what my weight, height, or shoe size was, was one of the best experiences of my life. I was definitely recommend to anyone to put their name forward to model at the next Plus North, it’s an experience that you will never forget and you won’t want to!
Unfortunately the lighting wasn’t incredible for the venue which meant I didn’t really get many amazing pictures on the catwalk at all. But between my Dad and Ryan, their determination did get quite a few lovely pictures. The dress was around a size 20 and as I said, it was a perfect fit. It should be out in the next few weeks I’m hoping and I’m told that it’s the dress that sells out every year! So I would definitely keep your eye open if you’re wanting that perfect little black dress for the Autumn/Winter. I wore it with my Evans Leggings and Evans heels, a Yours Clothing Clutch and Yours Clothing Statement Necklace that I am absolutely in love with. The outfits on the Yours Clothing catwalk ranged from some beautiful evening dresses, to sexy lingerie with a little of Autumn chic thrown in. It seems like Autumn/Winter is going to be amazing for Yours Clothing!
Being a big fan of Yours Clothing meant that I had already planned my Sunday outfit to be head to toe in Yours Clothing! With their beautiful new Black And White Monochrome Block Stripe Skater Dress
getting quite a big of attention, teamed with the Red Edge To Edge Waterfall Crepe Jacket
, I am head over heels for this outfit! The stretchiness on the top half of the dress would allow most bust to be comfortably away, or a little on show depending on how much you fill it out. Whilst the monochrome skirt did make me look slightly bigger that what I am, the red waterfall blazer made sure to slim my silhouette back down. I’m also wearing my beautiful necklace from Punkypins
which you can read all about here.
I had an amazing time modelling for Yours Clothing and it was great to finally meet some of their beautiful team! Yours Clothing even had a little Q&A session on the Sunday, but unfortunately deafness in a loud room wasn’t working for me, but what I did hear is that there’s lots to look forward to and lots to keep your eyes peeled for.
Thanks for letting me model for you, Yours Clothing!
