After the emotional roller coaster of my first catwalk appearance with Yours Clothing (that you can read here) I decided to ditch the flimsy heels and strut in my flats instead. Just as I was about to hit the catwalk, Beyonce happened to come on which made a massive grin across my face! This time I hit the catwalk with a completely different group of beautiful plus size bloggers that were all oozing confidence and it definitely rubbed off onto me. This time I walked slower, more confidently and I definitely had a lot more fun. My Lovedrobe Maxi High Low Hem Dress, £55, from Simply Be that I modelled was picked by myself due to a sizing and style issue with the original dress. However, this meant that I was now completely comfortable and confident in the dress I was modelling, as soon as I saw the dress I knew it was perfect for me. I asked for it in a size 22 just to be on the safe side and it was definitely the best decision as it fit quite snug on my arms. The 22 was a little bit too big on my waist, but nothing that was noticeable thankfully. I also had on my Lola Joseph Owl Necklace, Earrings and Rings which can read the full post on here.
Once again the photos are from other people as I didn’t get any nice ones, group photo from Hannah’s Instagram and the catwalk shot from Just Me Leah. There were a lot of people taking pictures of the full group of Simply Be and I would love to see the full photo of everyone in it!
Simply Be then announced to us that we’d be able to keep our outfits that was awfully exciting. This meant that I left it on for the rest of the day event whilst my dad took me around everyone he had been talking about me too whilst I was busy flapping around (he did the proud dad thing). We ended up playing dress up at Bon Prix and I finally met Ann from Mookie’s Life!
For the Plus North evening event I ended up wearing another Simply Be dress, the Joanna Hope Jersey Dress, £60, which is absolutely beautiful. I felt a little contrasting with my bright red hair, pale white body and bright blue dress but I did love it at the same time. I also got this dress in the 22 and it was a perfect fit. Normally I fit a 20 better but I wouldn’t want to size down with this beauty. The material is rather stretchy yet figure hugging where you want it to be. After pinning it a little high on my neckline, it did mean that the material continued to make me look too covered up at times but I didn’t mind that. The dress was incredibly comfortable and I’m already looking forward to wearing it again! Of course, I was wearing my Lola Joseph Bag and Pearl Ring too which finished my outfit off beautifully.
I was actually a good little blogger and finally managed to get more pictures of people who I ended up hanging out with. Including the beautiful Faith from Music and Eyeliner.
One of Plus North’s Fabulous Organisers, Toni from The Left of Perfect.
And finally, the beautiful and hilarious girls from Bras and Honey who we ended up spending the rest of the night in, whilst ‘reviewing’ Leeds’ Nightlife and dance poles. Needless to say we had an amazing night and Donna and Abi were definitely two of my favourite people at Plus North! I’m already looking forward to ‘reviewing’ more places with them….
Tomorrow on the blog you’ll see all my second and final set of accessories! What do you think to my Plus North posts so far? Is this an event that you’d like to come to next year?
