Today is the exciting launch of Makeup Revolution’s new Black Velvet palette! You’ll only be seeing this palette on a couple other blogs today as it’s quite the exclusive…. With it being velvet and Makeup Revolution knowing my love for all things velvet, they thought I’d be perfect to review this and that’s why I love them so much. Makeup Revolution are constantly bringing out the most incredible palettes in quirky and fun packaging that make your makeup bag full of life! I wear this brand each and every day now and they’re definitely one of my favourites.
So what’s so special about this palette? The brand new Black Velvet palette is a selection of 16 beautiful shades, including 3 dazzling shimmers and 13 beautiful and diverse matte shades. It’s in the most beautiful packaging that looks sophisticated and classy in a makeup bag, I also love the shiny black heart for that extra glam factor. I will admit, I never think my swatches do the palette justice as I always try and take the full palette of swatches together, so I decided to just pick out some of my favourite shades, so that you can see how pigmented they are. The purple probably has to be my favourite as it creates a beautiful smokey eye for a dramatic look. The palette, as always with Makeup Revolution, is ridiculously affordable at £7.99 and is available online today.
As you all seem to love reading about Makeup Revolution so much on my blog, I am often sent some of the new releases which I thought I would give a little mention too today. You’ll be seeing more of these on my Instagram in the future!
I Heart Makeup I Heart Obsession palette -Wild is the wind – £3.99
This is the first of some limited edition palettes to celebrate how much Makeup Revolution love to update their formula and obsess over developing new products. This palette has 10 shades mixed between shimmers and mattes and is meant to be ‘heartbreaking shades.’
The nude and smoked palette, it’s such a beauty.
I Heart Makeup Naked Underneath – Faux Fur covered palette £7.99
Finally, the Faux Fur covered palette, which if I’m perfectly honest is a little messy. The fur does easily come off which mean it’s a little annoying when you’ve just finished your eye makeup and suddenly find little hairs all over you. It’s such a shame considering the beautiful shades inside. I’d definitely say to open it up on your desk and leave it there, no touching and your face should be fur free! With 16 gorgeously smokey eye shadows, it definitely is a beautiful palette.
Have you tried anything new from Makeup Revolution lately? Or do you have your eye on something?
