Makeup Revolution’s New Lip Lacquer Colours

After my review of Makeup Revolution’s Iconic Palettes and Pro Tools, I don’t think I need to further express my love for this brand. Instead I’ll just talk about another one of their amazing new products, well in this case, new shades of a product. Makeup Revolution’s New Velvet Matte Lip Lacquer colours Rebel, Depravity,Vamp and Black Heart are absolutely beautiful. Lip Lacquers aren’t something I’ve tried before, well, at least not the ones that don’t requite a top coat to seal them. So, I was really excited for a lipstick that was going to last more than an hour or two as it has always been a constant struggle. The lacquers are so highly pigmented that I was a little be shocked, as literally one coat will give you a strong pay off that will last for hours. Of course, with such a wonder product there’s always a little downside, they are rather sticky. Similar to a lip gloss stick, but harsher. It’s easily avoided with a little lip balm though and it doesn’t put me off the product at all. The applicators inside are a standard doe food applicator which means it’s not the easiest to create sleek, perfectly lined lips with the applicator without neatening them up afterwards. I decided just to photograph them as they were firstly applied without touch ups.

Makeup Revolution New Lip LacquersIn the top left is the very vibrant and out there, Depravity. Perfect if you’re wanting to brighten up a cold and Winter Day. Top Right is Black Heart, a dark Gothic purple which is fantastic for a bold statement lip. Bottom left is Vamp, which is incredibly similar to Black heart just slightly lighter. It’s quite difficult to tell the two apart. Lastly, my favourite of them all is Rebel. An absolutely stunning dark red/purple colour that I used for my Ursula Halloween Makeup Look. This one is the ultimate Autumn lip.
