Makeup Revolution Iconic Palletes 1,2 and 3.*

It seems like Makeup Revolution are everywhere lately making everyone lust over their beautiful looking products and extremely affordable prices. Fellow beauty bloggers can only imagine my excitement when I got a message from Makeup Revolution asking if I wanted to review part of their collection. I asked to try one of their Iconic Palettes as I have heard so much about them and how they are fantastic dupes for the Urban Decay Naked palettes. I couldn’t wait to try it out and to my surprise I was sent all 3 Makeup Revolution Iconic palettes as well as an eyelid primer! For only £4 a palette I can see a lot of people wanting to try them out, and they’re all amazingly pigmented! They have a wide range of colours including mattes and shimmers. I have loved combining the two together to make my eyes look striking yet subtle like this gold shimmer and matte black used below.

I also have MAC Studio Fix Nw10, Collection Pressed Powder, Collection Lasting Performance Concealer, MAC Mineralise Skin Finish in Medium to contour, Max Factor Blush in Natural Glow, Anastasia Brow Pomade in Chocolate, Envyderm Mascara and Eyeliner, and MAC Diva with a tiny bit of Envyderm Lip Plumping Lipgloss in Coco

Makeup Revolution Iconic 1 Palette is a wide mixture of colours including pinks, taupes, golds, bronzes and then blues. The dark blue is quite disappointing as the pigment isn’t quite right meaning it doesn’t blend as well as you’d like, but the rest of the colours are beautiful alone or mixed together. There’s countless looks that can be made with this palette for day and night.

Iconic 2 is definitely more natural nudes with some shimmers and some mattes, I absolutely love mixing the matte black in this one with one of the gold shimmers to create a smokey catching eye look like above. This palette is wearable for pretty much everyone.

The Iconic 3 palette has to be my favourite as it has the most gorgeous pink shades ever which means you can make really subtle day time looks like the one below. Which is slightly enhanced by Eyelure lashes 155. It makes green eyes really pop effortlessly and subtly. The shades again can be mixed and blended together, but they’re all shades that can be pretty much buffed in and wore alone. Again the darkest colour in this palette was a little disappointing as the pigment and the shade didn’t quite sit how I would have wanted, but two average shades amongst a palette of absolute treasures is definitely a thumbs up in my books!
The Makeup Revolution Focus and Fix eyelid primer was also delightful to use as it has a little colour to it meaning the lids are primed perfect and set for the day. With it being only £2.50 it means that everyone can afford to have beautiful eyelids all day long, even in this heat.

Makeup Revolution remind me a lot of MUA and how their affordable products can really give high end ones a run for their money. Even though I’ve only tried a small collection, I’ve found their products to be definitely something that I would recommend for people to try out. Whether you’re a makeup expert, or a newbie, they’re beautiful and easy to use for everyone. I’m definitely going to be trying more of their collection, already I have my eyes on their gorgeous Blusher palette!
