Now this is the post that I have been probably the most excited to write about recently. Sometimes I love products, sometimes I don’t, and then on occasions like this, I become obsessed with products. Upon Makeup Atelier first arriving, I walked in to see my Mum had opened them up and laid them out and I was instantly drawn in, I just wanted to play with them all. It has gotten to the point where I’m wearing nearly every product I was sent on a daily basis, I’ve taken more selfies than ever before and my skin has looked flawless.
I must say, I was a little spoilt but I am not complaining at all. Probably my favourite of all the products has to be their Waterproof Liquid Foundation in Clear Apricot at £22. I’m rather fussy with foundation and would usually just stick to the same one for years, but recently I’m branching out and finding the most incredible products ever. This foundation is really something else, the coverage is so high that the tiniest part makes me look done up. I’ve actually started wearing this to the gym on really bad skin days, I know it’s not the best idea, but if I’m going to sweat, I will look hot doing so. The foundation is a little on the drying side, however I’ve right now as I’m literally wearing this had it on for just over 10 hours and my oily skin is just about to ruin it completely.
Underneath the foundation I wear the Antishine Base at £16 which is quite the tough little product. It’s incredibly thick and conceals basically every pore whilst grabbing onto your makeup and not letting go. I’m incredibly impressed with how my face has lasted all day long and I think that this duo is fantastic for anyone with severely oily skin like myself.
Eyeshadow is something that I probably have too much of now, so it definitely takes a lot for me to be wowed by a palette now. I received the Eye Shadow Palettes T24 and T22 at £25 each and they’re honestly so beautiful. I know it’s odd to describe powder products as creamy, but they honestly are. They glide on like a dream and blend together magnificently. The T22 palette is definitely my favourite and I’ve used it pretty much every single day as they’re all matte and work together wonderfully to create the perfect smokey eye, for day or night. T24 is equally as beautiful and the shimmers to blend out subtly which I really like.
The lip products were a little confusing to me at first, which I know sounds weird, but I found the liquid lipstick to be very watery at first and I didn’t quite understand why. The Longwear Lip Colour in Raisin at £19.50 works as a stain on the lips and literally stays put all day. With it being such a watery consistency, it does leak into the little cracks around my lips, but it’s nothing too noticeable and easily covered. It’s my perfect shade of that deep plum colour and I really do love the shade. It was until wearing the Lipshine Lipgloss in Antique Purple at £13.50 with Raisin underneath that I really appreciate it. Sure it is a typical sticky lipstick, but these two together create a beautiful and striking lip that stuns and draws in attention.
As you can probably tell, I am quite taken by Makeup Atelier Paris and I think their products are incredible. On the website you can even purchase samples of the foundation to find out the perfect shade for you, and I just love that idea! We’ve all bought a shade online that was totally wrong for us, and now, it’s becoming a problem of the past.
What do you think to the look of these products?*Pr samples that I am in love with
