Lush Christmas 2017
Back when I worked at Lush, Christmas was the best and worst time of the year. It was the best because of the new and exciting products every year, not to mention the return of things that you had become addicted to the year before. Obviously with these exciting things came the busiest time of the year, making it the worst time in retail. Now that I work for myself and can avoid shopping centers at Christmas times, I can fully enjoy a Lush Christmas from the comfort of my home.
Of course over the years I’ve found my favourites, Lord of Misrule, Twilight (both the shower gel and bath bombs of them), and the Golden Wonder bath bomb are at the top of my list, but here’s a selection of things that I actually haven’t tried before.
The Santa’s Christmas Shower Cream (£10.95 / 275g) smells so incredible, it’s such a warming cinnamon scent that is warming and spicy with black pepper oil. It has a tingling freshness on the skin and leaves it feeling so soft with the cocoa butter. It almost smells of cola but I don’t get the scent too much with this. I do with the Santa Baby Lip Scrub though. At £5.95 it’s the perfect way to prep your lips before a long day of wearing lipstick, or to keep them moisturised for the winter. I have terribly dry skin on my lips during the colder months and it often leads to cold sores so I keep up with lip scrubbing now more than ever. Lip tints aren’t something I wear but I do love how pigmented the Santa Baby Lip Tint at £6.50 is. It’s a beautiful bright christmas red with cocoa butter and carrot oil to keep your lips beautifully moisturised and red!
Baths are my favourite and around Christmas time I have so many bath bombs, I actually had two in one day this week. I’ve been trying out some new ones including Christmas Sweater (£4.50) which is a slow dissolving bath bomb. It’s ginger and lemon making it quite uplifting. My favourite has been the Plum Snow Bubble Bar at £5.95, I’m definitely going to be grabbing a few more of these. It’s utterly beautiful, so soft on the skin, and such a soothing scent!
