It’s been quite a while since my last Beaty Box review as they haven’t really impressed me in the past but, since then it seems like they’ve really upped their game. This month I was excited to receive the Look Fantastic January box this month, where 20 lucky boxes actually received a surprise from GHD worth £145. I’d love to say that I was one of those people, but sadly now. However, I did receive a beautiful box full of a wide range of products that I’m really happy with.
The Look Fantastic Beauty Box retails at £15 per month, but the products inside always add up to a lot more. Being the first one of the year, I really like that they’ve started with a mix of products across the board. As well as keeping with the constant theme of January and looking after yourself more as there are actual Vitamins in the box too.
MyVitamins Energise Tablets to be exact, they’re also a full size pack and worth £4.49. Dissolvable Vitamin C tablets that help to boost your intake on vitamins and help with a healthier lifestyle.
I was surprised to see a full sized Nuxe Masque Creme Fraiche de Beaute at £18.50, as I remember beauty boxes just being sample sizes. This is an incredible soothing and cooling mask that I’m already enjoying using!
I do love samples of hair products, as I invest a lot on my red locks. The Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence was very welcomed in my box. It’s a sample size of 60ml which means it’s worth around £5 (as the full size is over £20). It doesn’t smell the most amazing, but I’m excited to give this a full try.
Did somebody say colour? Dualsenses Color Extra Rich 60 Sec Treatment is right up my street and on my hair right now as I’m typing. It’s a beautiful purple cream texture that smells divine. This is a 50ml sample, whereas the usual bottle is 200ml at £11.00, which makes this worth a little under £3.
Being youthful and well rested with all my daily naps (yes, sometimes plural) the Gatineau Strategie Jeunesse Eye Pads were immediately applied to my Mum who was complaining about her sore eyes. These pads felt cooling, soothing and very refreshing, my Mum ended up keeping them on for quite a while! I received one pair in the box, whereas normally it is 6 pairs for £34.50, therefore one is just under £6.
I like the idea of Molton Brown shower gels, more than I actually like them. Their Templetree Body Wash in Eucalyptus has a very strong and quite masculine smell that I’m not going to rush to buy. It was a 100ml sample, which from the full size being 300ml at £18.00, this sample is worth £6.
Overall, for my first Look Fantastic box ever, and my first beauty box in a very long time, I’m really happy with the products. I love that it was a mix between health, hair, body and skincare. Seen as this box is worth over £40 for £15, I think it’s an absolute bargain and if you want to try new things this year, this is the box to do that with.*Sent for review and has thankfully changed my opinion on beauty boxes.
